So, we left for the airport very early on Friday after spending the night at friends. The walk to the terminal and our gate was short compared to what was to come. Luckily, I had son there to finesse the bags. Flight was uneventful..and we had a lot of phone looking out the window and making commentary. I have flown many times before, but more than 10 years since last flight.
So glad to have had Chat GPT, helped out a lot at O'Hare. So much walking to get to our train must of been 2.5 miles. I was already tired. Sis offered to send Uber..but she didn't pull up at the station .and we were running around trying to find the car. We had her cancel it. Son convinced me to walk to hotel..big mistake..too far and although an interesting walk..was pooped. My purse seemed like it weighed 10 pounds. Check in at hotel. E,yes popping out of head expensive.
Rested for awhile..while son was running around. That evening went with in laws on the other side to welcome party..More long walking .somehow managed not to die along the way .delicious food Peruvian served family style. Saw most of the other wedding guests Chatted with their friend and neighbor across from me who talked my ear off all night. Refused to walk back to hotel and took Uber. The couple I walked with were into it too. The welcome party was fun and unique though.

@Juliaacv The bridesmaids were constantly dealing with the dress. I heard she changed it at one point, and into some normal clothes..but I wasn't around then.

@snowy22315 Yes it is beautiful. I had a big full train and honestly if you’re small, which I was under 100 pounds then, I found it just pulled all day long. I didn’t feel light or graceful. I hope that she die.

It;s far, especially if you are not used to it, and carrying something. We walked pretty far to get to an attraction to before I left..and then again to get to the Amtrak station. Even getting on Amtrak probably walked half a mile to the train car.

@LadyDuck Yes, no heavy things and the right shoes makes all the difference.

@snowy22315 - I like to walk, but if I am relaxed and I do not bring around heavy stuff.

I'm exhausted just reading about the traveling.
Love the picture and her dress is gorgeous. Wow what a long veil

@snowy22315 I imagine it would take a lot of effort to keep it situated properly. I hope no one stepped on it
