Out like a light

I had appointments all day. I came in the house, put groceries away and sat down at the computer. As I touched the keyboard, I heard a pop.
My assumption was that the internet went down. I was wrong.
It was the entire electrical service for the area.
I had heard on the radio that there were severe storms, but they were not in my immediate area. Evidently, they affected us anyway.
The power company sent out a text. They predicted it would take an hour and a half to reestablish power. It only took ten minutes. That makes me happy.
So, I will post that other discussion in a little bit.

I feel for you, I had a hectic day today, sat down and was about to go online and everything went black.
It was the power out, and then it returned, but then went out again for a few seconds.
It was only out long enough that my husband had to reset the clock on the stove, microwave and the coffee maker.

A short power outage is very tolerable.

I am also scared of losing power; that is my only contact with the world. However, I have seen that the Florida Light and Power Company does very good in keeping the power on even in big wind,

It can disrupt so much when the power goes out. I'm glad it wasn't for long.
