Hello everyone. I hope your day is off to a good start. It is 66 degrees F and dark here at the Jersey Shore. The high for today is 81. I'll take it!
I have work today as usual. The students will be working independently which will give me some time to do some of the stupid paperwork that I need to do. The kids will be happy to not have to listen to me go on and on for 40 minutes. 
My big plans for the afternoon are to make 2 loaf cakes--lemon pound cake and banana bread. The Baking Club is having our first bake sale tomorrow morning so I need to make my contributions. That's about it.
What's everyone else up to today?

I hope you have a successful bake sale.Do people usually know what you made so they can buy it?
Hey, you remember the teacher who kept “borrowing” from people’s classrooms, and then lying about it? Did she ever get officially in trouble? You might not even remember who I’m talking about; sometimes I remember throw away comments that don’t amount to much.

81 is too hot for me. You can keep it!
Those are two of my favourite cakes you are making, especially the lemon one. Is it the same as lemon drizzle cake? Drizzle is a much nicer word. Usually associated with rain, and we’ve fortunately been having a decent amount lately to counteract the drought we had. Apparently it’s going to take several months of incessant rain to top up our reservoirs.
I managed to cut my hedges before the rain came. Thanks for asking. 
I’ve now got a tree that needs a bit of lopping before it becomes a hazard. Gives me a chance to use my chainsaw. It’s currently my 2nd favourite power tool after my leaf blower. Dangerous in the wrong hands. Luckily I’m right-handed.

Louder Than Life is starting today, and a record high temperature is forecast, so I’m going from the AC restaurant to the AC car to the AC grocery to the AC home. I might stick my head outside to see if I can hear anything from the concerts.
