What says the change of season to you besides weather?

With several days of 100 F in September I don’t always feel the change of season by the weather. What says fall to me is (American) football. College or pro, I love it all, and in the second week I am so enjoying it. That is what says change of (this) season to me (and not this is not an invitation for a few of you who like to rail against the salaries of pro athletes to go on and on about it.)
What is it to you? Is it shorter days? Better or worse allergies? What says change of season to you other than the weather?

I absolutely love this time of the year, and although it is a sudden change from hot to cooler, the payoff is so much more for me. We can enjoy the beautiful autumn colours and scents in nature the different fruits and vegetables in season, and it is nice to change out to the autumn wardrobe. Speaking of which.....I need to change my summer purse for my brown autumn one.

Mostly with just sitting here on the PC I guess it would be looking at the temp showing up and hopeing it will go down, For now still in the 80s still humid and still need AC.

Football does represent the arrival of Fall as much as Baseball does the Springtime.
Now that Fall will officially be here tomorrow all the leaves will start turning and that's always beautiful to witness. And it also means the holidays aren't that far away.

In general,or in Autumn? Because in Autumn to me,the rust and gold changes in the leaves, they're beautiful.

Leaves turning..although minimal here right now..I have seen a few turn, oh and pumpkin everything in the store.

I think Autumn is my favourite season.
Yes it gets colder and it gets darker earlier …..but also I love …..
Blackberry picking…..crumbles with custard or cream
The leaves turning to gold, red and purple
Conkers everywhere

Shorter days. When days become shorter, I realise that winter is round the corner. When temperature falls, it means the summer is over and rainy season is knocking at the door.

My answer to your question is that I truly look forward to the beautiful fall colors. I know the colors are intensified from the weather, but in the Fall nature really puts on an incredibly beautiful display of colors. I enjoy that so much.along with not being too hot or too cold!
