No not that kind you dirty birds. 
I was texting with a coworker/friend whose classroom is across the hall from mine. He has duty after work in the stairwell by us. Somehow the topic of my health came up. I am pretty open about stuff. A few people at work know about my spa vacation in the spring. That isn't something I want to advertise but I don't care if they know I have ulcers or low platelets.
Anyway I said something to the effect of "I'm sure you've seen that I have trouble going down the stairs." He said that he's noticed it. I'm pretty good in the morning but by the end of the work day it is a struggle. I told him I can go up the stairs without issue but it is just going down them that can be tricky.
He responded that he would just have to be my escort at the end of the day to make sure I didn't fall. I thought that was really sweet. 
But again the wing I'm in now and everyone gets along and helps each other out. In my old wing my coworkers would have just let me fall and probably would have stepped over me on their way out.

I have a lot of neuropathy in my legs. Stairs are not my friend. If I have to climb stairs I take it slowly so that I can avoid an accident. Luckily my home has one step-it’s feom the hallway in to the garage.

Good grief. I hope he’s on medication. I realize medication doesn’t solve everything, but for some people it’s absolutely necessary. It sounds like he should have an IV of it.

That's really sweet honestly, having someone offer to walk you down without even asking is rare. Good coworkers make such a difference, you can tell right away when people actually care versus just being polite. Glad you landed in a wing where people got your back.

I used to have an escort - a Ford Escort. That was early 80’s. I remember it was a rust bucket. My feet nearly went through the floor and the engine nearly dropped out of its compartment. Gear box was great though. I hope your escort is more reliable.
