Well, Good Morning to my MyLotter family…..
The sun is shining , The Mister is coming home today, and it’s the weekend.
Life is good…..
So, jobs for today …..
I have to walk down to the postbox soon to post a Birthday card for a dear friend.
Do you still send Birthday cards ?
I will pop into the shop and see if they have any of the ice creams that I can get for FREE.
There was a coupon in the free newspaper a couple of months ago for free ice cream. The voucher is valid til the end of December , and I got …..let’s just say, lots of vouchers, …enough to have kept us in free ice creams all Summer. Which was great during the heatwave.
On my return I have a mountain of washing up to do.
I don’t usually leave the washing up but last night seemed to be one thing after another, neighbours popping round, friends texting, getting things sorted to go on marketplace to sell, moving bins, …..it went on …..
Anyway, washing up to be done.
Then a quick sandwich for lunch and the shower and hair wash….

@Traceyjayne I would have done the same thing. My mom always came first. It doesn’t surprise me you obviously feel the same.

@AmbiePam I know she could have weetabix or something different for breakfast, but if she wanted sandwiches or egg / beans on toast , all she and I would be thinking would be the fact she didn’t really like the bread. It was no bother to pop into town I was there and back in an hour.

@AmbiePam ….didnt get the ice cream ….change of plan.
When we went shopping yesturday Moms favourite loaf of bread was out of stock ….she had a different one. We had baguettes for lunch so she didn’t start using the bread until this morning , for her breakfast toast. She rang to say she didn’t like the bread at all. So, my change of plan was that I went into town after all, going to a different supermarket to get her bread. Coming back on the bus it goes right past the shop I would have got the ice cream from …..never mind it’s not important, the vouchers have a good date. I would rather Mom had bread that she likes. I will take it round later when we go with the takeaway for tea.

I love your post! Hi, Traceyjane.
Since this morning today, my long overdue Assignment #1 hasn't impressed me at all to confidently submit it. So... delay submission again. Sigh!
My plan to dye my hair today was averted and will be done tomorrow instead. Term 3 school break resumes on Monday. I work there as a Student Specialist Support Teacher.

Hi, don’t put off doing that assignment for too long. You don’t want to be rushing at the end and not do your best work.

Ice cream vouchers sounds like pure heaven a month or so ago. I am waiting for my daughter to get back. She is doing a dollar tree binge shop. I'm anxious to see what Halloween stuff she got.

Good afternoon. It is foggy and nice outside this morning. The temp here is 61F/16C this early morning.
I did dishes during the night so everything except the plate I used for breakfast is already done. (I ate chicken taquitos this morning.)
Pretty has some errands to run as long as the fog burns off and it doesn't start raining before she can ride her ebike around town. I'm just going to read a while (I downloaded 8 new ebooks during the night.) and then take a nap this morning.

i still send cards, although the postage is so expensive now.
I just met a friend for coffee, then popped to the shop, hung the washing out and now I have to work on a PowerPoint presentation, then I'm hoping to make a start on trimming the hedge.

@Traceyjayne No this one is Lonicera nitida (box-leaf honeysuckle) which is sometimes suggested as an alternative to box for hedging. It does need trimming about twice a year though, and if it gets too tall (or gets a lot of snow on it) it just flops over.

Yes I still send birthday cards
My morning was pretty lazy. Had my coffee, did a few basic household chores and now it's past noon and my daughter will be taking her lunch break within the hour (she works from home). Sometime this afternoon I'll have to check the sales in the supermarkets to see if anyone has anything good. Sales had been few and far between lately.
