Wildflowers next door - but not to us

Our niece lives in the hills above Perth, next to a vacant block with natural bush quite close by. We’ve been hanging out trying to find some wildflowers when all we needed to do was visit her! It’s not quite that simple, of course. There are many wildflowers other than the three you see in the photo but what a magnificent stand of kangaroo paws. The blue flowers are blue leschenaultia but I’m not sure that the white ones are. They can all be grown in domestic gardens now. Maybe that’s what I need to do. Sorry - no photo at the moment. I'll try again later.

The photo feature does not work. I also tried to add a photo to a comment and I got an error message. I hope that later I will see the three wildflowers.

I like wildflowers, but want to see the mammoth Kangaroo, people do not know how big they get. I may have told this story but I tried patting one on the head in this outback zoo. I guess she was female. The male stood up and goes that is a no, no. Guy was 8 foot tall. I freaking looked away, you right sir, my apologies.

Kangaroo paws are so pretty, what a lucky find right next to your niece's place. Funny how the best flowers were close by the whole time. You should try growing them, the blue ones with the paws would look great in a garden.

Kangaroo paws sound like fun. I’ve seen bear tracks on paths, and it’s not that good a feeling to see them.
