What kind of sicko would want to watch a livestream of an execution?

Secretary of Defense Pete Kegseth has announced that the Fort Hood killer, Nidal Hasan, will be publicly executed by firing squad on December 3rd and it will be livestreamed for everyone to see. WHAT. IN. THE. HELL? This guy is absolutely out of his mind. He is such a wannabe tough guy. Seriously? Since when does the United States livestream executions? Is this really who we are as a country? Who would even want to watch such a thing? I mean I understand when family members of victims or the condemned want to be present but who really thinks "hey--this guy is getting shot today and I want to watch it". Honestly I agree with you, this feels way more like a show than justice. Even if someone did terrible things, turning an execution into something people can stream just seems wrong to me. I really hope somebody steps in before it actually happens.

Just seeing documentaries on You Tube of the executions of the Axis world leaders near the end of World War II and the trials after the war send chills down my spine even though the images on the screen are blurred.

Definitely not me! I was driving my three very young nephews to a park once and we came upon a fresh accident on the highway. I kept pointing at and talking about the cattle and horses in the field across the highway to keep them from seeing anything but that didn't work. As I thought we were clear, there was a lady's head on the highway and the youngest nephew saw it. I hurried to tell their mom what happened but, as I finished, I heard my youngest nephew tell her he saw a head... I felt so bad about that. I can help with broken legs or arms or help someone who is bleeding everywhere but an execution is more than I want to see/imagine.
