Getting Prepared

It’s 5:40pm, and my best friend is on her way to pick up Sadie. It was quite a day. I went to the post office, but the line was literally out the door. Unfortunately, there was also only one person working. Finally, I made it into the lobby of the post office, only to have my ears assaulted by the complaints of a 50 something year old lady who loudly asked then complained about only one person working. I turned to the lady next to me and whispered, THAT was helpful, now wasn’t it? The lady smiled and said she counted on there being only being one person working so in reality she was going faster than she planned!
Finally, I got out of there, and then went to my dad and Diana’s to do laundry. While I was there I had roast and carrots that they were encouraging me to eat since it wouldn’t be good to save until we came back. I also had some of her yummy squash casserole.
After that, it was pharmacy time. I am ready with everything filled that needs to be, and just have to put a few more things in my two small suitcases. My dad will come pick me up at 7am tomorrow morning to leave for the Dallas airport.
How was your day?

I am doing the best I can to clean up the mess inside of my bedroom as well as completing surveys and sharing news stories under a sunny afternoon.

Rainy and gray. Not near as fun as planning a trip.

You had a lot on your plate, and have successfully got it done it seems like. Now, you can enjoy your trip, well once your dad picks you up anyway. That Dallas airport is huge.We went through there a couple of times. Good idea to have the wheelchair. Where are you going to stay when you get to Norfolk? You aren't planning to board the same day are you?

@AmbiePam Good you won't have to be rushed, and have time to rest. The weather should be pleasant in Norfolk perhaps a bit windy.

Sounds like a productive day with a good meal too! I hate queues and if I could avoid it you would never catch me in one
. Today I had 2 client visits. But I had a 4 hour gap around lunch so I was able to take my dog out for a walk and have a little nap before the next client.

You were a roadrunner today, getting everything done just in time.
I wish you a good night's sleep and a safe and fun trip.
I just checked the weather for Charlottetown, PEI, it ranges between 8 and 13C over the next week.
You'll enjoy the cool down.

I learned my lesson with the post office after this visit. I usually go in the mornings, and there are always at least two people working. I will have to do that from now on because this time it was ridiculous.
After my friend came and picked up Sadie, I waited until I knew they got home, and I had to text her to see if she was making out okay (my friend lives an hour away). Apparently, Sadie was hanging out with Pearle, the four pound Chihuahua.
As little as Sadie is, Pearle is even smaller!

Sounds like a full day of getting ready to go. That's pretty early to leave (well for me it would, I know some people are morning people).

@MommyOfEli2013 My dad showed up once at the airport 45 minutes ahead of time. Almost an hour! And they would not let him on the plane even though it was still sitting on the tarmac. He was actually AT the gate, and still, they said 45 minutes early was not acceptable. After that, he started showing up way earlier! Lol

@AmbiePam I've never been there three hours before lol. But our airport is much smaller than most. A four hour drive is pretty far so that is understandable. Oh wow, that doesn't leave much room for sleep does it!
