Well that was weird

I wrote earlier that the cleaning lady was coming here today to deep clean in order to repay me for the loan I sent her earlier this week. She was still here when I got back here. She was just about finished and I noticed no signs of deep cleaning.
She took out the garbage, cardboard, and recycles. . . and then disappeared. At first I thought she was just having a cigarette even though I had seen her ride in the parkway. Eventually I looked out at the parking lot and saw that his car was gone. Strange. She didn't thank me for the loan nor did she say goodbye. That's not like her.
In any case when I was walking away from the window I noticed that she did clean at least one part of the carpet that needed it. So there is that. I guess I can't complain.

So doing almost nothing is acceptable? It sounds like she has some big problems. I think I would send her on her way, and if she has a key, get it back....you have enough problems without her making more.

I am surprised that the cleaning lady walked away after doing some of the cleaning work to repay the loan you gave her.

So she didn’t repay you as she promised, with money from her boyfriend?
I would say, yes, you can complain. She reneged on the agreement, so I would tell her she is no longer required, especially doing a runner without any pleasantries. Disgusting way to behave,

Erm, excuse me , but I guess you CAN complain.
She said she would repay you and has offered nothing and leaving without even saying goodbye shows she wasn’t going to give you the opportunity to ask about it.
You need to ask her for the money …..and find another cleaner ….

That's rather strange, especially if she doesn't usually leave without saying anything. Perhaps something came up and she had to leave in a hurry. Still, I would have expected her to let you know, particularly since she was supposed to do a deep cleaning.
