He could not move it

Bob wanted to try a weighted blanket, so I ordered one. It was about ten percent of his body weight. He had to be "assessed" with it, to make sure it was not restraining him and that he could move as he would like to. We tried it in his chair first. He could not completely move it off his lap without help. We did not even try it on the bed. I guess I have a fifteen pound weighted blanket, in addition to the one Jane gave me. Part of my evening was spent online shopping. We are getting one that is only five pounds. Just enough to make him feel "hugged". We have lots of rules to follow. But he would not have enjoyed the heavy one anyway.

Mine was 25 pounds, and I did love it. Dumb and Dumber must have thrown mine away though. Hopefully, this five pound blanket hits Bob’s happy place.

I didn't know they had 5 pound ones. I have one, but it is about 20. I don't use it often

That's not good. Sort of scary.

Those blankets must rally be heavy, I am sure that my husband would have been unable even to move a 5 pounds blanket.

Aw that's a smart call going lighter, five pounds sounds like it'll give him that hugged feeling without being too much. Glad you checked it in his chair first before trying the bed. Hope he loves the new one when it comes.

I hope the lighter one will suit him better.
