Friday Coffee Chat

Happy Friday Everyone! this has really turned out to be a beautiful week weather-wise. Also looks like the weekend will be nice too and for the first time in weeks no rain on the weekend. The temperatures today are nice (not hot and not cold) so I compromised by wearing a 3/4 length sleeve shirt instead of long sleeves or short sleeves 
I'm enjoying my coffee and trying to shop at Hobby Lobby but the site keeps going down. Hopefully it will get its act together when I try again later.
Next weekend is Halloween so I have to decide what to get this weekend when we do our shopping. I'm leaning more toward getting some individual bags of chips, popcorn, doritos, cheese puffs etc rather than candy. I'm trying hard to stay away from sugar/candy so if I have leftovers I won't be tempted as much as if candy was handy. Sams Club has a nice variety box at a decent price.
We have a bunch of new families with trick or treating size kids so I'm sure the doorbell will be ringing.
I'm shaking up my dinner tonight and making chicken in the crockpot with Lawrys Teryaki Marinade with Pineapple Juice. Haven't made this in quite awhile and I took the advice of some fellow myLotters to dig out some old recipes to get out of my food rut.
Aside from the usual stuff to do around the house there isn't much else going on here today.

I live in a very nice community/neighborhood. We have some new families and the kids are younger, It's nice having activity outside with kids playing, I'd rather be here than in a senior citizen community

If you try it, I hope you like it. It's really good with rice on the side,
We have a lot of potential trick or treaters this year so i want to give out something different

Your chicken sure sounds good. We will be celebrating my grandson's birthday this weekend.

We are getting stormy weather here this weekend ….its already started.
Grandsons football for tomorrow morning has just been cancelled.
We have our 90th Birthday party meal tomorrow afternoon.

Your din sounds good. Nothing going on this weekend, son said he might be available to come down next weekend though..and that would be good.

Well, I wasn’t expecting to be here. I was supposed to be in Malta on vacation. So my calendar is wide open until Wednesday when I have my eye surgery
