This was the moon on Sunday night, taken right after we got home from the Dallas airport. My stepmom says this affect on the moon is from the ice crystals in some of the clouds. I don’t know the details, but the woman usually knows her business about gardening, and oddly, clouds.
As much of a morning person as I am, I do love the night time. People tend to slow down (for the most part). If only I had the energy at night I tend to have in the mornings!

I have never heard of that, but very interesting. Very cool shot!

Thats an interesting shot! I also love the night time because it's much cooler as well as seeing the stars and constellation coming to life from the dark.

The old 22-degree halo! So beautiful.
I love the night. Like that Joan Armatrading song says, just get me back to the night.

Just now
I rarely get to see that formation and from what I've read about those rings your stepmom is right on the money.
