Good Morning!

Just because I’m not doing a music countdown this month, doesn’t mean you’re getting off the hook!
Heck, I still have half a vacation to tell you about. I was going well until this slight problem with falling down and going boom.
The pictures here showed you the day I fell, which was Columbus Day, and when I took the brace off to take a bath on Sunday. Much improved! Does it hurt, you ask? Oh, you’re not asking that? Too bad! I’m going to tell you!
Truthfully, no. There are aches in both hands; however, that is arthritis. I’ve had that for years. In fact, the physical therapist gave me some putty to play with to strengthen my hand grip. So there is nothing out of the ordinary, other than this goofy thing on my right hand.
Officially, I get to take the brace off next Monday. Unofficially, I have been removing it while I bathe. Just to soak it in hot water feels so good. Additionally, for the first week after I got the brace, I also took it off to put ice on my hand. If you’ve ever had a brace or a cast, you know the affected limb will swell. The swelling in my hand is nowhere near as bad as it was when I first fell. However, there is still some swelling there.
That reminds me of the running tally Eva is keeping with her spam calls. I will get about 20 calls and texts in the next week from the VA, reminding me of my appointments. The first two came today. Next Tuesday I get my blood work for my semi annual check up. Add to that: a pulmonologist appointment, the semi annual appointment, and the hand doctor. For some reason, the VA thinks that somebody who’s been going to them for 41 years is suddenly going to forget an appointment after never missing one. But, in a way, I understand. They have a tremendous amount of no-shows when it comes to their appointments. I don’t know why they don’t do something about it, although I don’t know what they could do about it. I’m happy to say that my record is clean: I have NEVER missed an appointment. I have had to cancel a couple on the day of the appointment due to Covid, but I’ve never missed an appointment.
Oh, that place under my right eye has healed fully. Thank God.
I’ll be glad when I can type, because Siri doesn’t like my accent. (Yeah, Siri, accent, not axe sent.
)
Y’all have a great day!!

Glad things are healing so well. I hate those spam calls. I wonder if it is just something we folks have to get after we reach a certain age. Like grey hair and such.

I'm glad you're healing so well.
That stupid Siri, it can't relate to spoken language, I have a friend whose accent is fairly heavy, she's hispanic, and what that stupid siri gets from that is down right stupid.

Good to hear from you! Glad you're doing okay. I didn't realize (or forgot) that you weren't doing a music countdown this month.
