I want to go back to Canada.

No, not because of the election results. I just want to go back. I’m a firm believer that you can find beauty in most every place, and boy, Prince Edward Island was beautiful. Of course, there’s also that I was with family, and away from my problems. Isn’t that just the way? We come home, and everything, good and bad, is still waiting for us. Not everyone feels that way, I’m sure.
And no, I don’t feel the need to go visit other countries. Canada alone was hard enough on my back. But boy, it had some beautiful moments. The only other time I wanted to go back some place have been the times I was in Colorado.
Past or present, when you returned after being away, did you have a hard time readjusting?
*Picture was a cool day at the Anne of Green Gables museum grounds on Prince Edward Island.

It was always a crash when returning to work. I would in Paris on a Sunday morning and back at work on Monday morning.

Very nice pic..must of the places I have been in my life I want to go back to. I want to go back to Canada too, but first I have to get my passport back. I should make it a priority to do that this year. I do have the "Real ID" that allows you to fly, but I checked it isn't sufficient for Canada.

@snowy22315 That’s what I said. My family told me if I don’t have to get my passport out, I shouldn’t.

@AmbiePam You don't really need it if you have a passport.

I am so happy for you that you had such a relaxing reprieve from 'everything' because our lives can be messy, but spending time with the family and making those memories is so special.
I remember when we came back from the west coast in the spring, it was a day to adjust because of the time difference and we did so much while we were there we needed to rest up.
One of these days I have to get my shadow box done of keepsakes from the trip.

I have never been away from my family. I've to look after my old parents and I have to look after my small business. The largest time I have to stay at other cities is less than ten days. When I come back home, I don't have any problems readjusting.

I’ve been to Australia, and it was gorgeous. There’s only thing I had trouble with in Australia was the heat. I was used to it, because I’m from Oklahoma, but if I were to ever go back, I’d have to go during their coolest months. But boy, was it gorgeous.

Being away does have lots of advantages including being away from the humdrum of daily life. Yes, after being away I've had trouble adjusting to being back but it doesn't take long for the vacation to become a memory and to basically pick right back up before the vacation started.

Very nice photo , that is a pretty view. I can understand wanting to go back. What we leave behind is always there when we return.

Even with all my traveling, it’s still an adjustment every time I get back home

Coming home and everything bad is just still sitting there waiting is so true... that part hit me. Away from my problems for a week sounds like a dream tho, ngl i get that post trip slump every time. Plus the cool day at the Green Gables grounds looks like total chill vibes, kinda jealous.
