Accused of defamation

seabeauty @seabeauty (1480) • United States 23 Mar 08

One of my neighbors accused me of defamation recently. It was a real shock. Here is the story.. Her 11 year old son said something inappropriate to my daughter. I went over to her house and spoke to her husband about it....

quirkyjessi I agree that you should've talked to him privately instead of calling him out in front of guests. That was rather inappropriate considering it was a private matter and I'm sure it was rather embarrassing. That being said, it's equally as inappropriate for...

quirkyjessi I really haven't had much success with these little "spend a million hours online and make fractions of a penny at a time" type sites. I have, however, made some easy money doing paid posting here and there and writing some articles for cash. They take some...

How much money are you making online? Is there any genuine paying sites?

ajithlal @ajithlal (14715) • India 27 Nov 07

I would like to know how much money are you earning through different websites. Is there any genuine sites, which is worth spending time? Have you got payed already from any genuine websites? How many hours do you spend online?

quirkyjessi I make about $50 a month doing paid forum posting and make a bit of extra cash here and there doing various things. It's not much, but it's extra money that's easy to make on my off time. I'm going to be online anyway, so why not make some money in the...

Are You Actually Here To Make Money?

sharkee @sharkee (64) • China 24 Mar 08

Are you guys spending time here on Mylot to make money, or are you here because you're bored? Be honest! ;D Is there anyone in here actually earning enough from Mylot? After quite a bit of posts, I've managed to get a little more...

quirkyjessi I actually just came back after seeing the place mentioned elsewhere and thought I'd give it a shot. I really don't know if it's worth my time yet or not.

Is the next baby always bigger?

kezabelle @kezabelle (2974) 23 Mar 08

My firstborn daughter was 7lb12oz that was at 40weeks+1day, my second however when I got pregnant people would always tease saying how the next baby is always larger. All through my pregnancy we guessed she would be large as I...

quirkyjessi Ya know, I've never really paid much attention to it, but that does seem to be the pattern. I can think of several people whose second and third babies were definitely bigger than the first.

Can you trust someone out of your physical reach?

argie713 @argie713 (1809) • Philippines 23 Mar 08

I started a discussion last night about the virtual world. MyLot is a virtual community. You are my virtual friends. We do not have any physical connection at all(except for those living in similar areas). I've made quite a few...

Do you answer numbers you don't recognize ?

samtaylorskykierajen @samtaylorskykierajen (7976) • Canada 31 May 07

When the phone rings and you don't recognize the number do you just let the phone ring or do you answer to see who it is ? If you know it is a telemarketer or someone like that do you say that there is no one home to help them or...

quirkyjessi I sometimes have to because various employees at work will call me on their cell phones to cover last minute shifts, etc. If I'm not available at all or I'm really busy, I avoid them like the plague, though, regardless of if it might be someone I know.

Do you have an I.D. Caller on your Phone?

marciascott @marciascott (25529) • United States 23 Mar 08

Did you overeat with the chocolates yesterday for easter?

kiran1978 @kiran1978 (4134) • Australia 23 Mar 08

above31rubies @above31rubies (1863) • United States 21 Mar 08

Do you do this? If you don't, what is your reason?I do it all the time but I guess someone I know is adamant that it not be done when using their dryer. I don't know why not...? Any thoughts? I've done a little searching online...

quirkyjessi I've never really paid much attention to it, to be honest. I don't think it's that big of a deal and the only time I avoid having stuff up there is if I want the place to look neat and have company coming over...I don't want random items piled around.

Do you use a drying machine (dryer) at home?

cheongyc @cheongyc (5072) • Malaysia 23 Mar 08

I am living in an apartment unit and thus I could hardly find a sunny spot to dry my laundry. I can only hang the cloths in the enclosed balcony (blocked by other units) and leave it to dry in the air. The process is slow and...

Washing Dishes: Sink or Dishwasher

drknlvly6781 @drknlvly6781 (6246) • United States 23 Mar 08

quirkyjessi I much prefer a dishwasher. We cook a lot and end up with lots of dishes, so time-wise and counter-space-wise, it's definitely a smart decision for us.

Do you eat before going to bed?

peanutjar @peanutjar (5198) • Canada 26 Aug 07

Do you sleep better with a little snack just before going to bed?Or you cannot eat because it gives you indigestion and you cant sleep. As for me i HAVE to eat something because it helps me fall asleep.

quirkyjessi I generally end up having a snack before bed anyway because I eat supper earlier in the night...and by bedtime, I'm hungry, so if I try to sleep, my belly starts yelling at me. In that sense, I guess it 'does' help me sleep better, lol.

What's your height? Do you wish you were taller?

ghatozkat @ghatozkat (153) • Nepal 11 Dec 07

quirkyjessi I'm just under five foot...like 4'11 and a half, lol. At times, it's certainly a pain and I get more than my fair of jokes about it, but in all honesty, I prefer being short.
