dad's update on surgery

Okay I have finally returned home from the hospital. The surgery went very well. His gallbladder has been removed with many stones in it as well. His kidney function is doing a lot better than they had expected. The liver looked a bit bad the Dr said so they tool a thread sized piece for biopsy. But the Dr did say it definitely wasn't cancer on the liver. His liver function is doing good as well. I returned an hour after he was transferred back to his room and I had seen that he finally had his puzzle book opened and he had started doing puzzles. He was asleep and looking serene so I just talked to the floor nurse. She said he had already asked about getting up for a bit to use his legs. So he is in good spirits and ready to come home. But now as far as the after care I have to talk with his Dr. tomorrow at some time to see what the plans are. But I told him everyone was praying. He asked, Those p[eople on the puter thingy you play with. HAHAHA!! Thanks all for the prayers, support, care, and love shown throughout this whole week for dad and all of us here. It;s so heartwarming. Thanks again. You all deserve a prayer from me as wwell for the love shown. God bless each and everyone.

Well I am relieved about dad's conditions. But now I've got to log off as there have been a few funnel clouds reported near me. Take care and thanks.

I am so glad your Dad is doing so well. It is not easy having surgery at his age, & sometimes the elderly take a lot longer to recover. But not your Dad. Seems like he has good genes, & good healthy living too.
You can relax now.

I am glad that your Dad came through the surgery well and I will continue to pray for the days ahead as it comes to caring for him etc.

Great to hear dad is doing so much better. His gall bladder was prolly the culprit with his other health problems. At least part of the reason. Maybe he will want to start walking more. -crosses fingers- Take care Grandpa Bob and God Bless you along with your family.

Grandpa I am go gald your dad is doing so well. It sounds like he needed his gall bladder out.
It might be good if he goes to a rehab for a while to get his strenght up then come home.

I am so happy for Grandpa Senior...I hope the biopsy comes back negative and I am glad they are looking into it..Please tell him to take it easy and give him some HUGS...

I'm so glad the surgery went well. Hope he gets to feeling better real soon. That's great that he is in such good spirits and I'm sure he is ready to come home.

I am just going through my emails now so I did not know your dad was having surgery. I am glad that everything turned out fine and that he is feeling pretty good now. I will be looking forward to hearing when he comes home and how he is doing.

Yeey! such wonderful news and such a relief. It's so nice to hear that everything went well and your dad is okay now. He's such a strong and high-spirited man, started doing his puzzles already and excited in getting up for some leg exercises. Hoping for a fast recovery.
