Because I have to confess, sometimes not even I can read what I write LOL No, really, I just tend to write a bit fast and in some cases end up just making a line. I can write slower, but I reserve that for when it really needs to be read LOL What about your handwriting?

When I try really hard, it is ok. But most of the times, it looks like ancient signs on a wall. Which was a good thing in school, because I didn't have to give my notebooks to everybody :))

I believe that mine is legible and is understandable, I even copy some handwriting from others which I find are attractive for me!;) I can write fast and could be understood, since we were used to jot down notes which are dictated to us by our teachers during high school. The only thing I miss was the steno or the art of shorthand, since I was not much into it when it was taught to us on high school.

My handwriting is very readable. We have 10 employees at work, myself and one other person have readable handwriting. Anything that needs to be handwritten is brought to one of us to complete.

I am like you. I can write a decent hand, especially if I take my time, but I can be accused of writing in scribbles also. I have to pay attention to what I am doing to come out with really nice writing. I have had compliments on it though, when I did not really think I merited it.

Yes, when I do apply myself it comes out nice. I guess the rest of the time I just let my handwriting have a life of itself LOL

Let's just say if mylot was handwritten I would not have over 3000 posts and a 10 star because no one would be able to read more than a few words in my posts and they all would have been given negatives and deleted. My signature is completely illegible. I also just write fast but if I slow down I tend to forget what I was trying to say so that's reserved for when it's not a thought I need to remember.

My handwriting is legible even when I write fast. Everyone (my husband, son and I) have neat legible handwriting. I can't say about my son later. He's only 7 and a neat handwriting is a must at his school. He does it without much effort, so I guess he won't have a problem later on. When I was working in the contracts section of a big petrochemical company earlier, I would get lots of notes that I had to type out into the computer or write into a ledger. Some of the handwriting was so bad that I had to call the person concerned and ask him to decipher it for me. After it happened a couple of times, I asked him not to other writing it down, just give me a call and dictate it! I hope you aren't a doctor because I wouldn't want a pharmacist giving me the wrong prescription because he couldn't read your handwriting.

lol...thanks! We can't have a bad handwriting even if we tried and that would take double the time it took to write neatly and then what's the point?

COngratulations on your neat handwriting. I do understand how important it is, specially in some cases like the one with your coworker. I can write legible, of course, but when I"m writing just for myself it's not always so :) Thankfully I am not a doctor LOL although doctor's seems to have the worst handwriting heheh

Yes, in that case you're completely right. I always make sure my handwriting is legible when it's for work or for someone else. It's just when I'm writing for myself that it's not that perfect:)

My handwriting is horrible - so horrible that sometimes and hour later I can't tell what I wrote. I know part of my problem is my mind is always going 90 miles and hours and my hand just can't keep up. I have found myself actually typing and printing grocery list or to-do lists so that I can read them. I'm a fast typer :)

LOL - true story, a couple months ago I was sorting through somepapers and came across something handwritten. I couldn't for the life of me figure out who wrote it or what half of it said. My daughter happened to be setting there and asked to look at it. She actually started laughing - "Mom it's your handwritting and it says ...." she could actually read my writing.

I would have made a good doctor as you can't read mine. It's hard to write and several years ago I took a class on personal shorthand.....now I forget sometimes to put all the letters in a word as I am so used to using the shorthand! LOL

My handwriting is not legible sometimes because my mom says that my handwriting tends to look like a doctor's one, LOL. I think so too. It has been quite sometime since I've tested my handwriting and I rarely use writings for my work, it's more to the computer. So whenever I get the chance to write, it's pure scribble and can't be read clearly too.

I must admit my handwriting is not good. Other people really find it hard to read it especially numbers. Its like a doctors penmanship over a prescription pad. Though I am trying to improve it, maybe I am just supposedly destined to be a doctor and not an enginner who really have a very legible handwriting.

I can write neat and I do if I really need to. But when it's just for me I sometimes am not that neat:) ANother thing that I am noticing is that as I'm getting older and my eyes are not as good, it seems that my writing is getting worse a bit.

yes, m not boasting but i have been apreciated for my handwriting many times. When I was in school, my teacher complimented me in front of the whole classs and I was kind of blushing and got a little embarrased. I used to write with the same ink colour and my teacher really appreciated that. I might not have the most stylish and spectacular handwriting but it is definitely legible and neat.

My handwriting is legible...when I take my time and don't feel rushed! LOL Otherwise it can come out looking pretty bad, to the point where I wonder what the hell I wrote down in the first place. LOL Sometimes I can figure it out if my memory helps out. Other times I just give up because it is hopeless!

I guess it can be either - depends on how much effort I put into it. But really, it is a very subjective thingy. :P

Sure. It really depends on the effort, how much we want to make it legible or just write fast. And you're right, it is subjective. What can look to me like a nice handwriting doesn't necessarily mean that it will look so to someone else. However if it's legible it's legible to everyone, I guess :)

Yes it is. I have a pretty handwriting. I have been told this by many people. Plus I think so too. Not to brag of course. I write neat at least 97% of the time. When I am in a rush, it still can come out, decent. When I think it is messy, someone else will think that it is neat.

That is really good, cream. Most people tend to be less legible as they rush. It is good to be able to always be neat when writing, congratulations :)

When I try like for birthday cards and things i can have pretty nice handwriting - to the point taht my old housemates would always get me to write them out for them. But in college my writing is awful really. It gets steadily bigger and less legible throughout the class. But generally i can still read it all, though anyone sat next to me is hard pressed to.
