How honest are you? If you wanted to buy a paper and it was in a machine and you went to put your money in the slot then realized that the door was ajar, would you just take one or put the money in and pay for for the paper anyway? I would shut the door and pay for it. Some people however would consider that the newspapers problem and maybe think they figure a few free ones in their costs, but to me they need to get paid for their papers. What would you do?

I still believe in honesty. Honesty makes me feel free from any lies. Honesty makes me free.

Honestly... lol without a doubt I would pay for the paper and then ensure that the lid was firmly closed after I took my paper. I was raised in an old school red neck home (which I'm thankful for) I would have been whooped at any point growing up if I stole. So now I don't steal even when I guess I "can". lol Now I'm not sayng I'm a saint coz yeah I can cuss with the best of them and I have wiggled through the truth a few times, I've done some bad things but stealing was one of the worst things my parents had no patience with.

I know where you are coming from...I would have been whooped myself by parents that taught us what was right and wrong! Thanks for sharing!

I'm afraid I am a honest one. I better live in peace with myself than try to do something like that. Last week in a supermarket I noticed I managed somehow to pass the shop assistant without paying for two items, and guess what? I went back and paid for them.

I think I am honest enough and that is not to say that I have never lied.Yes, I have lied. But I think they were the real small ones.Ones for fun.Just for some mischief. Yes,by being honest ourselves,we can go a lot in improving the world as it is rather than complaing to the world that the politicians are dishonest or things like that. I think first it is our duty to improve upon ourselves and then improve others.

Hi jillhill, I would pay for the paper. I am not saying that I have never done a dishonest thing in my life, but I was raised to be honest and I know that I would do the right thing here. Blessings.

I would just take it, because its not as if it costs much, not my problem if the door is ajar, the world isn't going to suffer if an few papers are taking without paying for

I would close the door and pay for a paper. If there was no way to close the door and no place to pay, I'd go find another place or machine to buy a paper. It's easier not to deal with one of those machines and have the paper delivered to the house.

I would say that I'm fairly honest. I don't intentionally lie, but sometimes I avoid telling people bad news right away in an interest to get more information. I find that bad news is not as bad as originally reported.
