wow, so many responses. What is happening?

I've only been here just over a week, but I think it could have a lot to do with the earnings. Many people have mentioned about the earnings increase and how excited they are. It would stand to reason that if you're making more for your efforts, you're going to put forth more effort, right? :)

I have just visited your discussion and have added your one hundredth post to it! I am new to MyLot and I see from your profile you live near to where I was born in Yorkshire. I like MyLot because there are so many people here from around the world, all with differing viewpoints, which makes for good discussions.

That is great. I have noticed more activity also within the last few days. I have also noticed that my earnings continue to go up, which is very nice. I have got more responses recently also and it is great that I can respond back to so many people. I think alot of people are being more active also because of the earning increase. Way to go Mylot. Please continue!

I would guess it's a combination of the earnings and the site growing in general. It seems there are quite a few more active posters here now then there was a year ago when I joined.

Hello ESKARENA1, Congratulations on having so many visitors to your discussion!:-) I have myself noted that activity on mylot has increased. I was inclined to think that it's just my perception as I am myself more active now than I was few months ago but facts and figures are belying my perception. Yes, mylot is more active now than previous months. Part of it has to do with the fact that it is winter in most places from where most of mylot population comes and people tend to stay in homes and thus participate more online. Remember that mylot peaked in its activity in these very days the previous year!? check on Alexa and my assertion will be verified. Then, you also seem to be right about increase in payment playing its role in increased activity. of course, people, especially those for whom earning is important, would be inclined to participate more if they get more for their contributions! And, I have noticed a very positive increase in payments, lately.

The change in payments we receive here could be one reason, but I know that there are lots of it. Just compare this site's population from then and now, and there you'll see the difference!;) Also, people are starting to return here. Those who left for a while, some even are a lot active in responding than starting their own posts. Not to forget those who spam mylot, who posts irrelevant responses!LoL But I really do think that responders loved the post you made, maybe that's why they all came and respond to it!;)

I think that discussion was quite interesting for others. its the reason you have got so many responses there. I never get many responses for my discussion here in mylot. Atmost i have got 53 responses for 1 discussion. zI think there are loads of discussion so its hard to get responses.

Mmm, we're getting paid more. I'll have to check that out. So did you answer those 99 comments? Wow, I guess that would take a week or so. Good going, my friend.

You are lucky! I have never had 99 or a 100 responses from my discussions. I guess it depends on the topic.

Well that's both incredible and fantastic that you have a discussion going with 99 responses. I am sure that you will easily make the 100 mark and more with the discussion. This is almost encouraging me to get more active with posting once again but time must also allow for that.

no kidding, discussing how hard you push when you pooh? give me a break. but probably the extra cents is having an effect and I also have noticed a good many discussions are getting more and more stimulating and that does draw a lot of poster's attention I am sure. I am quite new but have found a good many really interesting discussions and have posted more each day.

You and I joined around the same time. I joined when you did, but I really didn't get active until a couple of months later, for some reason. Then when I realized they DO pay, I continued to become more and more active. Now with the addition of the new daily digest, I'm able to become even more active, with MyLot sending me discussions I may not have noticed that day. I think more responses are a result of a growing community, especially by referals.

Somehow, I've never had the kind of success you have in starting your discussions. Maybe it is the topic or the time the topic is initiated. Like my topic which I posted about electronic supermarket trolleys yesterday (http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/1418438.aspx) which is not receiving responses except for an ardent supporter of mine. I just cannot figure out the reason why, because I would think this topic will interest people, especially if they patronize the supermarkets in their area. But I congratulate you for your success here. Keep it up and enjoy the discussions. ps. I certainly have a long way to go to catch up with the number of postings you have made. 11174...WOW! Of course, you were here longer than most of us, so you have the advantage.

That's good. Congratulations! I have seen so many interesting discussions with a good amount of responses. How to people get so many ideas? Some people come up with ideas very soon. I enjoy reading mylot discussions and respond to those when I feel that I can give a genuine reply. At times it happens that I start writing and then I stop halfway when I feel that I am not being true to myself. I enjoy being in mylot. Regards.

It could definetley be that mylot members are catching on to the earnings increase that mylot has so graciously given us ;) It could also be that people on here are finally finding out that they should search for a disscussion first before starting a new one with the same subject. I know that it took me awhile to catch onto to that little tid bit.

Wow..99 responses? That is alot! I've been here about a month and not very active, but i'm trying to login everyday for atleast 4 hours from now on. I want to see if I can use mylot as a type of job. I lost my job last week and don't have any leads yet. Mylot paying a few cents a day is better than no cents i guess. Well good luck and happy mylotting!
