On a scale of 1 to 10 how would you rate your life right now?

If you were to rate your life out of 10, 10 being the highest and 1 being the lowest. What rating would you give your life and why? If you rated below 5, what things do you think could improve your life? Here is my rating, right now I would rate my life about a 7 out of 10. As I am quite satisfied with my life, I have achieved some goals: finishing 2 degrees, have my 3 beautiful children, partner that I love and I love my close friends and family and I have good health. I am still yet to travel the world that would increase my rating. Plus I am struggling with money at moment as off work looking after my baby, so that makes quality of life bit harder. One day I would also like to own my own tutoring business. So there is still room for improvement in my life. How about you, are you already a rating 10 in your life?

Great to hear littleowl, that you are pretty satisfied about your life. I am also happy that you have a loving relationship. Tell me about your grandson, don't think I have heard about him before.

Hi Kiran-my grandson is 4yrs old but he is so adorable,he has bright blue eyes and blond hair, he is so clean eg if he gets dirt on his hands or his clothes the hands have to be washed and the trousers or top has to be changed-think thats his mum's influence-he is so inquisitve about everything and is going through the 'why' stage which you know about. He stayed with me the other week and unfortunatley I haven't got a spare bed so he shared mine, each morning he would wake up and just say 'nanny' and thinking he wanted to go loo or get up when I asked he said 'no cuddles'-it was so lovely. My daughter is a single mum her partner walked out on her when he found out she was pregnant-my son and myself were there when he was born so we are all very close and we all live in the same village so its not hard to see each other but my daughter has her friends so sometimes i dont see him for quite a while but do speak to him on the phone when I can get someone to show me how to download photos on here I'll put one on here so you can see him- blessings littleowl

Wow littleowl you sound like the doting nanny, he sounds adorable. He also seems very much like my 3 year old, she can't stand to get dirty either has to change right away, that is why I have so much washing. I think it's the age, asking why, I think it is great, as they learn alot by being so inquisitive. Great to hear you have such a close knit family and that you have been a great support for your daughter when she needed you the most. I will PM you soon on how to dowload photos to your profile.

I would rate mine as 10. I am alive, am able to walk, talk, see, smell, hear, think, read, write, be resourceful, feel contented and happy and be grateful to God. I am a quick learner ,am highly motivated and act with determination and I thank God for this capacity. I have proper food , clothing , shelter, books, and a most loving and cherished family who would love me with all my defects. There are innumerable people in this world who are less fortunate . I have not gone abroad .For that matter, I have seen a few places in India but not many. There are so many people in this country who have not gone outside their town.I am far better than these. My desires are always within my capacity because all my basic needs and small vanities are fulfilled. What more can I ask for? Right now this is it. I have certain duties to fulfill in the domestic front and hope and pray to God that it will work out there too.

Wow you are the type of person that sees the glass always half full and not half empty, very optimistic, I admire you for that. You are right what more could you need. It is very sad to think of the millions of people that are alot less fortunate with barely enough food, shelter and water to survive, we are lucky to be in a good place. Thanks for sharing, very inspiring.

6 and a half? This is the best my life's been in a long time, and I'm extremely thankful for how things are now. It's extremely lucky. I know it might not last, so I'm enjoying it while I can. The world is getting rougher around the edges, some even say it's rotting from the inside out. I'm helping who I can, and talking about things...but I know the future is going to be hard. I've never been able to rate my life a ten, except maybe when I was very small, but I never thought about things like ratings back then lol.

29 Apr 08
I think it could be a ten if I could actually plan for the future. The way things are now, and the world as it is...I really can't do that. Even now, with things going pretty decent in the scheme of things I'm still just planning day to day, not in terms of months or years. Overall ideas for the future are vague because everything I've done detailed usually finds a way to be ruined, because of how crazy things always are ^_^' heh.

6 and a half that is okay, what would need to happen in your life to increase your rating to a 10? I am glad you feel extremely lucky in life right now, hope your life stays this way or even better improves so much to a 10.

I would say a 6 right now. My brother is in Iraq. I live way too far from my family and I really don't like living in New Jersey. Things were pretty rocky relationship-wise at the close of 2007 but it looks like things are going in the right direction. Hopefully my rating will be much higher at the same time next year.

I would rate mine probably about a 6, I have a hubby, 4 children and we have our own house, so some achievements there. But now I have to earn the rest of my ratings by achieving some goals for me now. I am not sure what they are, as I do not have a clue what I would like to do with the rest of my life. Having and looking after children is all I have known for the last 16 years!! I have to find out who I am outside of mum and wife and what it is I want to do in my life now.

Wow gemini rose that is a great reflection on your life, I think you may have underrated you life a little. I think you should give ya self a 7 or 8 atleast, lol. 16 years being a mum, wow, 12 years for me. I understand what you mean as you need to find a life outside of mum and wife as well. Maybe that if your writing, you said you want to write a book, that could be your focus and new career, maybe? I wish you all the best! Work out what makes you really passionate, that will help, don't settle for a job that means nothing. What other things do you enjoy doing, i know you like dancing, lol, writing......

[em]happy[/emPoetry that is cool, have you seen the site www.poetry.com, it is a great site where you can submit your poetry and even get awarded up to $10 000 if you are really good. Even if you don't win money there it is great to write poems on there and read others too. I have wrote a couple on there but I don't think I am that good. I like to write acrostic poems. Cross stiching that would be difficult, you sound pretty creative. You have potential here that's for sure, go for it. I want to know when you achieve your goals, okay?

Other things I like to do are poetry, but I am one of those that has to make things rhyme!! I also love to cross stitch, I love the way that the picture forms under my fingers and I would love to one day design my own pictures!! I did sell a couple once, for good money too, so there is possibly something there.

At first, I think I am going to give 8 out of 10. But after reading your post, I think I should change it into 7 too. To me, your life is quite satisfying. My life is OK. I am still a student. I do enjoy learning something at college. But I think I should have learn more if I can make better use of my time before. Besides I've just lost an oppotunity to be an interpreter not long ago because I do not prepare myself enough. And I am also struggling to find an internship. Then I think I can improve those part. However, I love my family and my friends. They bring color to my life.

I love it how you said you family and friends bring colour to your life, that is awesome. Yes I gave my life a 7 as I think there is still alot of things that need improvement but that is okay as I am 29 years old, so plenty of time still to get that things I desire. Sorry to hear that you lost the opportunity to be an interpreter, can you try again for the same position elsewhere? Keep fighting for what you want, you will get there. Sounds like you have passion about learning so I am sure you will succeed.

I do cherish them. Without them, I probable would not be me now. They have been the company of me in lots of rainy days. I just lost an oppotunity to be an interpreter in a Spring Trade Fair. But I promise I'll keep trying. Next time, I will get myself ready. Hopefully, I can get a job in the autumn one. I am not sure whether it's a good news or not. I am 21 and in the third of my university life. It seems that I kind of want to learn now. During the precious 2 years, I think I ddi not work hard enough to learn what I wanted. Maybe if I work harder, I can make up for it. I hope it won't be too late.

i am in 6 i guess. a little over the middle i suppose. i am really really close to everything i wanted in life.. its just that i feel i am less fortunate with work cause i do not get the actual salary for my position and i have doubts with my life if i will ever be happy with its totality... it seems like i am a successful career woman... but there are missing pieces i do not even know about!

I rate my life 5. Why? I'm still a hard worker persons, some times I can't do what I want to do because I have no time to do that. I just can't enjoy my life before I reach my financial freedom, make my family and other people happy, and get socialized with them. Even in this myLot community, I just can post 2 or 3 everyday.

Life is too short and precious, cherish each moment. Financial freedom is important too, it will come. Take care and happy mylotting.

Kiran, it is really very difficult to rate myself. I think my rating is 7.5, as far as my present life is concerned. I am much satisfied with the blessings of God, which He has bestowed upon me. The contentment is to be felt within ourselves. If I can make myself understand that I am cotentended with my achievements in life, then the rating would go further. But, one always feel something is 'missing' in one's life, therefore, it is difficult for me to rate more than 7.5 at present. An excellent post!

My greatest achievement in my life, I suppose is to get an excellent better half, who looks after me and cares for me, more than I could have ever expected. Please do not ask me do disclose list of 'missing' things.......the list is very long..........LOL!

Hey, good to hear from you again, 7.5 rating aint bad. That is so true if only we could all be content with our achievements, I think we need to give ourselves more credit. What is one of your greatest achievements that you are proud of to date? What do you think is missing in your life?

I think i'd go with 7. I have no major complaints and am generally happy with my life. Of course there is always room for improvement which is what keeps us from getting bored...right? Any time that I would rate my life any lower than this would be just me having a bad day....a temporary clause. A 10 rating would be a good day...still a temporary clause.

Like the way you see things, temporary clause, next time I have a bad day I am going to remind myslef it is only a temporary clause. You are right there is always room for improvement so 7 is looking pretty good. I hope though by the time I am 60 years old I can say I had lived a 10 star life, lol.

I would say about an eight and a half as I have some problems as who does not but am coping and love mylottingas its filling that empty void left by retirement. I live in a lovely apartment complex with my adult son and i am a widow since 1991. I used to work in our local library. i miss the work and the crew but mylot is filling in nicely.

ahmm, now it's 4.9.... i'm not really satisfied with what i am now. i haven't reach any of my goals and the only thing i can do those things is when i live on my own. i 'm sick of my parents who always make a decision for me. i'm kind of contented with my friends because as of now, they are the ones who make my life meaningful...

I would rate my life at about a 7. I am in a happy marriage, have great kids, and I have great friends. However, we are struggling financially right now and I don't like my current job so there are some things that I would like to improve. Also, we are wanting to build a new home and the one that we live in is really too small so I would like to get it done. Overall, I am happy with my life. I don't think we are ever completely pleased with the way that things are as we want things to be better.

well what to say. i dont have idea how to rate my life. i think it should be less than 4 because i havnt achieved any thing in my life. so it seems hopeless. but thanks to my loving family and caring friends i feel like there is some thing for which i should feel proud. so i would rate myself in no. 4 as there are many things to do . as about improving things i need to be a bit more confident and i need to be more patient about life.

A four, that is sad to hear, having a loving family and caring friends is a great thing to have. That means more then achievements or work. THere is still plenty of time to achieve things, write down some goals for yourself, be specific and write a date that you want to achieve them by. Then write an action plan on how you want to achieve them. This has helped me achieve some of the things in my life. I hope you can find the confidence and patience that you desire, all the best.

Im very happy with my life right now and where I am in it,because im engaged to the women I want to marry,I have my 3 best friends that always have my back, even thought I dont get to see them alot, because of where they live or their work schedules, and I have a preatty good relationship with my parents and family,so I guess I would rate my life at 9 right, and I could improve on my life by going to school to be a cop, which is what I have always wanted to do,and by me and my fiance saving enough money to get married and get a double-wide behind my parents house. One day I want me and my fiance to move to Texas and get a place, and I want to become a Texas Ranger like Walker in Walker Texas Ranger because I want to help people and bring order and justice to those who deserve it.
