But i have to ask this anyway..Why is it that every bad thing that happens to a person the first thing they do is "Blame God"? Don't we all have problems at times? We all get sick?We all lose loved ones, thats life..Don't we all know that when things go wrong we should cling to our faith? Pray and ask for help in times of trouble? Instead of clinging to our faith and keeping the faith in God to see us through,we blame God for every little thing that goes wrong...Now this is not everyone, most of us know where our help is,but i know that you have seen it so many times ,people say "if there is a God why did this happen? I sorta get tired of hearing this..Do you?

God is so good to us. After all he gave his Son so that we can spend eternity with him. But like every good parent He sometimes had to discipline us. But at the same time things happen because of our own choices. Sometime God has something better for us. Remember job? God let Satan test him because God knew how strong he was. Not every thing bad that happens to us is from God.

...I also get (a little) tired of overly cynical types.. Yes, I feel some sympathy, but hey, life is tough all over.. and for everyone from time to time.. and we're living in a democratic society rather than fearing for our lives either from mass starvation or attempted genocide.. I mean sometimes I wish people would get a little perspective and quit thinking of how bad they have it.. or how bad God is because everything isn't perfect..

I think it is because there is somebody to blame. Now when you lose a child, I think you want somebody to feel the pain you do. In our society, it is hard to make that happen. When you are looking for a job or are not getting your way and you blame God, I think it is a gop out. I know when I pray, I concentrate on my blessings rather than short comings. I feel it puts me in the right frame of mind. Instead of complaining about what I don't have, I think about what I do have. After that everything starts to fall in line. I also find that helping others helps me.

Yes, I think it's funny that some people will take all of the credit for the good things in their lives but it's God's fault when something bad happens. Blaming is part of the grief process though so God gets it there and also in the Let's Make A Deal part of the process.

I believe that people who do not understand the concept tend to say those things. After all God did not make famine. God did not start and wage a war. God didn't make somebody sick. God didn't do whatever they are whinging about. I sometimes wonder why people think that it's okay to blame God for things. Is it an easy way out? Is there some consolation for them in trying to put blame on God when in fact they may be using their energy for acceptance and getting on with it?

I don't blame God, but I do wonder WHY some times. Someday I will be able to ask him the big question. My faith has gotten my thru some tough times, so I do know to turn to my faith. I talk to God lots and lots. He will help us and get us thru whatever we face. We have to trust and have faith.

its true Polly ,i have wondered why many times, but someday we can ask God face to face...I am sure that there is some reason behind a lot of things that we do not really understand...I know i have ask for things before and God did not answer and later i am so glad he did not answer my plea...Sometimes i have asked for things he granted to me and later regretted asking..Lol

May be its God we believe most. so we also have this belief that whatever the problem may be, God will help us to get ove. when that does not happen we blame the God.I think there are no other ways.

Yes, this annoys me too. I also get really cheesed off when people say, "I prayed, and I was saved" or "this person lived because of my prayers". Why would God choose those people to save and not others. Why should their prayers be any better or more special than anyone elses.

Yes I also do. we were given free moral agency so most of our troubles we have brought on' ourselves. we should cling to our faith and pray. But so many do not even believe in God so its hard to know what to say without offending others.

Yeah, I get tired of hearing it too. Its during those times that God wants us to rely on him and draw closer to him, I think thats why things like that happen to us. He tests our faith, to see if we have enough faith to let him get us through it. God doesn't let things happen to us because he doesn't love us, he wants us to remember he's always there.

I think it is reasonable to blame God,which can relieve our pain and have enough courage to move on.Maybe God does not exist, but we need a virtual hero to be with us when we are in tough time.We chinese like you always screem our father and mother to help, even though they are impossible to help us when we in adversity.

first question you have to ask yourself slickcut is the next one: do u really believe in god or not? Because people who don't, won't always blame god. they will think: "it's nature, it all has to do with physics" The believers on the other hand, will seek shelter in an illusion of a god who is controlling everything on earth..

I am a believer but God is not controlling everything,he could ,but he won't ..he gave us free will and free choice...He loves us but he is not babysitting us...He draws nigh to us when we draw nigh to him...
