I have seen few mylotters who keep on starting discussions. I noticed today one such user who started more than 8 discussions in less than 15 minutes. I'm sure she would be recieving atleast 5 responses for each discussion..In that case, the number of responses recieved totally becomes a lot..But is it possible to comment to all the responses recieved. I comment to all the responses that I recieve. And I personally think that is very important. Do you comment to all the responses that you recieve irrespective of the number recieved?

I would love to say I am the perfect mylotter and answer all the responses I have gotten or get but I can't say that honestly. But then again I do respond to a lot of discussions that catch my attention. But yes there are some that will hammer out topic after topic within minutes and yes they won't respond to the comments they get. Some think they have to focus on either starting discussions and or jsut responding.

I too never ever forget to comment back to the responses I get. Whenever I login to mylot, the first thing I do is to comment to the responses that I recieved. ONly after that I respond to others' discussions. It is just like a thank you note for the responders for having spent some time for responding to my discussion.

I do not answer all responsess as some are not anything I know about? You could check at discussions with no responses in the discussions box under your picture that will tell you who has had no responses to there posts. People who posts a lot dont always have a lot of answers?

I too have noticed this . Few discussions never recieve any response. May be mylotters get bored by repetitive discussions. ALways interesting topics gets more responses.

I don't reply to all of the responses. If I feel that I have something additional to add to the discussion, I will respond. If someone has posted a response that I feel is totally inappropriate or is rude of disrespectful, I generally won't respond, unless it is to let that person know how I feel about their response.

oh..will people post responses in that manner too..I'm hearing this for the first time..HAve you got any experience like this?

I have received a few very disrespectful responses as well as some that had absolutely nothing to do with the original discussion. Some, I believe, may have had to do with the responder not being fluent in English and therefore, not understanding the point of the original discussion, but others seemed to be just someone wanting to up their number of responses with anything they could type.

I have not been able to comment on each and every response I get to may discussions as I do run out of time, I try but still some times fail so I get to as many as I can whenever I can find'the time to do so. I am on here a lot but even so one must do other things during the day besides mylot. I know commenting is importand and as I say I do the best I can.

I too comment to all the responses I get. I never miss any. Though it is a one-line response, I comment them back.It is just like a word of appreciation for responding to my discussion. Only after that I start responding to others' discussions. I do not aim to spend more time at mylot..But I just wish that I had a quality time here.

If I can't add anything to a response, then I don't but I rate everything. I think it's nice to take the time to comment back to someone, since they were nice enough to respond to your topic out of the millions that are on here.

There are times however, will someone will respond and I can't even understand what they meant--- and I just skip it. I still rate it though because atleast they took the time to put something. I've only rated 2 things negative in my whole mylot time and that was just ignorant responses. Most people are nice though.

No, I don't comment to all of the responses. Sometimes I don't have anything else to say. But I still rate their responses though.

Hi dear i agree what u say, its always nice and fun if u reply to responses and get counter response. Whenever i check my notification in my hotmail, i always prefer to comments on comment i received and then reply to new discussion or start new discussion i believe the fun u have on making the thread longer is more than taking part in new discussion Take care

Moreover, commenting back lets the person know that his response has ben read. Also, I feel that when someone spends sometime for responding to my discussion, I should also spend sometime for writing back to him.

I try and comment to as many as i can and sometimes I will get them all but I usually don't comment back on every single response i get because i can't always come up with something to reply back with, ya know? sometimes i will reply back with just saying thanks so they at least know that i read their responses. it would be great if i could reply back to every comment i get but i just can't.. i think its great there are people who do though

yes, commenting back lets the person know that his response has been read and he has spent his time worthfully. Also it keeps the discussion alive.

I comment if there is something halfway intelligent to say, but if they have just posted one line and it doesn't keep the conversation going, it's really pointless to do so. I do respond to probably 95% or better of those that take the time to post in my discussions.

yes, I too feel that it is very important to comment back to the responses that I get. Because I feel that when someone spends a time to respond to my discussion, I should be ready to spend sometime of mine to comment them back. I have seen few mylotters who never comment to the responses. In that case, it just makes a sense that they keep on starting the discussions just for the sake of earning money.I do not want to fall into that category.

That's a good point Ldyjarhead! And, I couldn't have said it any better. So, I won't even try. As you say if the response is half decent, more than one line and the person is actually trying to communicate, then they get a response. Some people don't bother posting anything sensible or just post a word or two looking for a few cents for their efforts. But others really do add value to the discussions. And I always take time for those people. Of course, with that being said, everyone's schedule is different so it's not possible to respond to everyone. Just depends on what else I am doing in my home life.

I comment on many responses, but with some it's rather impossible. Seriously, when someone makes a 3 or 5 word comment, responding (for me, anyway) takes more effort than they put in. What I'm curious about, though, is why everyone here at MyLot always comments on the number of discussions others start. I have not seen that at other sites such as this.

I try my best to comment to all of the responses that I receive. I think that its important..especially with some of the more serious discussions that are on here. I haven't been doing this very long, but I love to read the responses that I receive. I caught myself checking email constantly just to see if I had anything new. I am really enjoying this site.

I also feel the same.Only when commenting back the user may know that the time spent by him for responding the discussion has been worth.I feel that when we comment back, the user may know that his response has been read.

It is nice to know that someone is actually paying attention to the words you type. I'm sure that sometimes we won't always be able to answer every response. But, I will try my best. (Kinda' feels like talking to the wall if you never get a response..right?)

I haven't actually started any discussions myself yet, but so far I have been replying to responses to my comments in threads. I think it's only polite, especially since I've gotten questions or comments I wanted to expand upon. However, I have not replied to ALL of them.

I too try extremely hard to reply further to every response I get to a topic. The only ones I do not reply to are the inane one word answers or really brief responses that aren't as well constructed or thought out as they could have been. For me this is in the spirit of what this site is all about; and that is to encourage interaction. I too have noticed the multiple threads that are there for the sake of being there. I just don't really participate more than once with someone who makes no effort in this regard.

Yes, I comment to all the responses I get as much as possible. Before, I didn't do that, because I really have no idea that it will affect me somehow, but since I read some discussion and advices from other members that it really helps you to have a good reputation and your star rating too, I started commenting to all the responses that I got.

As much as I can, I give comments to those who respond to my own discussions and rate them. This is to let the responders know that I have read and acknowledge their response. Though comments give no additional earnings, discussions make more sense with exchange of thoughts and other views...

I try to comment on those who provide adequate responses to comment on, but sometimes I doubt that those who do respond check back for my response! Also, I don't want to give the same responses all the time so I may comment on the first few posters. Generally, I just read their comments and don't spend time commenting on comments anymore. I guess I should though to build a better network here and make a better impressions on my online friends.
