Gifts From A myLot Friend

I met a friend of mine from myLot Sunday afternoon with family etc. Awhile back when we had made plans to meet soon she asked me to send her some of my fave photos I took. So I sent her I think about 8 or 10 photos of my flowers. Well was I ever surprised and pleased after we ate. She went to her vehicle bringing back 2 gift bags that she had made I think. One for me and one for my daughter. The one for my daughter was a set of 3 onsies for her due daughter. Mine was the items posted in the attatched photo. They are a box of notes and envelopes and 2 candles with photos of my lilies on them. The photos are not pasted on really. I can't explain how it was done though. Hahahaha! Absolutely beautiful to say the least. I only wished I had gotten her address so I could use one of the cards to send her a thank you note. These are 2 candles that will not be burned as I treasure them. What a beautiful and thoughful woman. And I was going to pick some veggies to give her and decided not to. Now I really feel bad. But thank you Jill for these great gifts. Have you ever gotten a gift from a myLot friend? If so please share the story here for all to see. Thanks in advance. Thank you once again Jill. I only feel bad because I thought about it then said NAHHH!

How nice for Jill to bring you and minnie gifts. I guess you two will have to plan to meet up again so you can give her some of your good veggies and fruits. I know what you are talking about when you are trying to describe the pictures on the candles. I also would not burn them.

Hi GRANDPA BOB! Oh, you should be guilty for not picking some veggies for her! haha..Yes, I do agree that she is very sweet and thoughtful for bringing you those beautiful gifts. It is such a very nice thing to do. I also have a friend here in mylot who I get to see once in awhile and sometimes, she brings me little nice things. Very thoughtful and sweet of her. Just the other night, she and her husband dropped by to have a cuppa coffee with me and my husband. And I thought that it is my turn to give her a little something to cheer her up, so I did.

The worst thing is I knew she had made me something. Then I mentioned to my wife as we started to head out to take her some veggies. That's okay next meeting I will do something for her. Meeting myLot friends can turn into an addiction for me possibly. HAHAHAHA! As long as they are within an hours drive or so that is.

Usually they have if not a distinct odor, a very easily recognized significance. I know your kidding about lighting one, I know I would definitely not! Have you thought of a place to set them?

Oh, those are sooo cool! I'm sure you'll treasure them.
I did receive a gift from a friend on the internet. MANY years ago I chatted in IRC all the time and met a great bunch of people. Although we don't chat as often any more, we do keep in touch through e-mail and phone calls. One of the things I was known for was helping the "newbies" get around and stuff. One of my new friends was very grateful and wanted to send me flowers. Since I explained that I don't like flowers and I wasn't comfortable giving out my address to a stranger he relented - for a day. He did finally wheedle my address out of me and sent me a mug with roses on it and fake flowers in it. It was very sweet and I still have the mug - 13 years or so later!

I have set them inside my Hutch in the kitchen for displaying.
Well that was sweet if that friend.
I recieved a mug from a friend in New Orleans years ago I never met.
It was a mug with history from the day of my birth.
I still have it even with the handle superglued as the P.O. broke
it during shipping it to me. I've had that maybe 10 years or so.
I have never used it either.

I think that is so great. It is so hard to meet good people like that these days. what a blessing for oyu. I think she knows that you had very good intentions anyway, even though you had not picked the vegetables. I have not got any gifts from any of my Mylot friends. Most of them live very far from me and have it rough financially right now. I am very happy that you had the opportunity though.

Alwexanda, this is not a romantic gift at all. The candles are something I really like a lot and she knew this.
Steph, I still have that guilty pang in my gut for not having brought any though. I am over it though. Sort of. Hee hee. Thanks we all had a blast.

That is okay. I am sure she was happy just to be able to spend time with you and your family. Maybe you will meet again some day and you can make it up to her with some fresh picked garden vegetables. I am sure she knows you meant well by now. You are a very sweet person.

Very creative. I've seen these types of things that you send a photo to them and they make candles, mugs, shirts, bags etc etc. I think she does this for a part time job as well as a hobby. So thoughful of her. Thanks also friend.

Well that was nice to be able to meet a friend from Mylot, I bet it was fun too. That was nice of her to bring a gift for you and your daughter. I haven't been on here too long to make good friends yet, but if I ever do, it would be nice to be able to get together. I haven't met anyone on here yet tho, thats from the area I live in. I have had a few Gifts sent to me by a couple of mylot Friends, I treasure them very much the only thing I was not able to keep was the lovely Box of Chocolate that Mo sent me for my Birthday last Month, they screamed out to me lol I could not let them go to waste, I could not resist, lol
Also the Body Spray and a few other Items that another Friend sent me I am using or they will evaporate eventually lol
Another Friend has bought me 2 Fairies and for Christmas last year she bought me a Beautiful Fairy Tale Address Book it is gorgeous

It is so thoughtful of your friend to bring gifts for your and daughter. This is a real friend who cherish friendships. I wish I have a mylot friend who does that. If all the friends here are able to meet and exchange gifts it would be a wonderful event and it shows that mylot is very effective in fostering friendship not only here in the net but in physical reality.

You know Grandpa bob it makes my heart feel warm reading what a nice day you had with Jillhill. I am so glad you got such nice gifts and had such a great day. I am such your friend ship will last for a long time.
You can ask her for her address and later on send her something you have made maybe this winter when you are cooped up in the house.

what a wonderful story..yes i received a gift from a mylot friend twice..her name is Brenda and i consider her as my mom..i know her family as well as i spoke to them over the phone already..his husband Randy and her sons Eli and Josh...On my brthday last year, Brenda sent me a $15 through my paypal and had asked me to buy anything out of it as her present...and On october just before that, i lost my phone and she sent me $10 to add up to my money to help me buy a new one...i did had my new one and she's part of it..i'm so thankful and i really appreciate this friend of mine..i'm looking forward of meeting her someday and her family...i loved her so much..

The combination of your photography talent and Jill's creativity WOW, absolutely beautiful just like the person that made them. I bet you were just so chuffed to have received and I like you would never burn them either they are adorable. I have received two gifts from myLot friends, on meeting P1kef1sh I received a baby bottom butter LOL, but he knew I couldn't get in my area and it is a nappy rash cream that is supposed to help anti-aging and clear fine lines for woman to as sated in Marie Claire and the Daily Mail LOL. I was just so pleased to receive and the other arrived as a mystery gift in the post for my son which was a Noddy computer educational package but I tracked down who had sent and it was Darkwing bless to thank me for letting her stay at my home. So I have been blessed like you in having met two wonderful people from myLot and there are many more who I would love to meet given the opportunity. Ellie :D

When she had asked for some of my fave photos via email I totally forgot she did this type of craft etc. So I was stunned and mystified when I opened the bag. Actually as much as I love candles as soon as I grabbed the bag I could sense there were candles inside it. very beautiful thought she put into making these things for me. She said she felt wierrd giving a guy candles but she knew I loved candles. Awww two great members as well are darkwing and p1kef1sh.
