Yahoo News has an Election Projection calculator where we can make our state by state projections and see what the outcome would be if we're right. Unfortunately, my state by state projections ended up predicting Obama winning my 6 Electoral votes over McCain and only breaching the 270 votes needed to win by 2. There is still room for hope since some of the states could easily go either way. The biggest reason there is room for hope is, I have been wrong at every point of this election season. Here's to hoping for being wrong once again!! :~D http://news.yahoo.com/election/2008/dashboard

It's an interesting map but, most do not go to the White House without taking Ohio. I think the last to do it was JFK. There's still many undecided voters and many switching sides for one reason or another.

I made my picks, you can make yours. ;~D Ohio is one that can go either way though.

The last Republican to make it to the White House without taking Ohio was Lincoln. I didn't make any say about either candidate making it, just pointing out that if history repeats itself that whoever takes Ohio takes the White House, and this being a historial election maybe neither will take Ohio. I'm not making any judgement as to whom will win.

So, you suffer from the same disability as myself. I call it dysfunctional public empathy syndrome. People afflicted with this lack the ability to correctly identify with the public, share in the emotional body politic, or almost ever be able to predict which way the majority will decide on national issues.

It's a acute condition for me this year. I usually do pretty well.

I do not know if you noticed this ParaTed but your election map has Obama winning Wyoming. No way will Obama win Wyoming, I do not care if he won the state in the primaries, and Wyoming went for Romney. Now he is something that no one is talking about a tie. That map has Obama at 272 to McCain's 266, but with Obama winning Wyoming. If you move the three delegate from Wyoming into McCain's total Obama and McCain ties at 269. Wow imagine that.

ParaTed gave McCain Hawaii, which is Obama's birthstate and has been reliably Democratic over the yeays. Obama will win Hawaii, bringing it 273-265 for an Obama victory.

I have not seen their election calculator, but USA Today has a similar one. My state will probably go democratic, but it is still a very close race! I guess we will have to wait till the bitter end to see how it works out.
