To Wear Or Not To Wear That Is The Question !!!

Pantyhose - Wearing pantyhose

I was watching the television show The View and Michelle Obama was the guest. Barbera Waters made a statement that the day before some of the audience were making comments about her not wearing pantyhose on the air that day. The day Michelle Obama was on she didn't wear any pantyhose, Barbera Waters asked her about that. Michelle Obama replied that they were very uncomfortable for her because she is a tall female and it is hard for her to find some that fit. So she just stopped wearing them. I have notice that a lot of ladies now do not wear them. I wear them on occasions, I have never cared to much for them either. Do you wear pantyhose?

I wear semi-support hose all the time when I go out. I like the feel of them under my slacks and they also help my legs. I used to stand on my feet lots and I wore support hose while working. I just got used to the stretch support hose and love them. I haven't found where a tall woman with long legs couldn't find a pair of panty hose that fit. I wear Queen size - I am 5' 11" tall and have long legs. I have yet to find a pair of hose that wouldn't fit. Some people just don't like hose, but I think they make you look more dressed up. I hate to look down at a woman's feet in church and see a pair of shoes without hose. Call me old fashioned if you want, but I will continue to wear them.

If I can get away without wearing them so be it! I don't like the feel of them on me. They are very uncomfortable and make my skin itchy. I see nothing wrong with a woman that opts to ditch them.

Only on very special occasions! More women should wear hose, they have no idea how much better their legs would look if they did. Of course these days, since so many women prefer to wear pants, you can't see their legs anyways so what does it matter?

I have always hated wearing pantyhose. Maybe that's why I tend to wear pants. I think if you have nice legs and can get away without wearing them, more power to you...if you have short, stumpy, hairy legs...you might want to cover them up. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

They t just make legs look better; they make clothes look better. I stopped wearing them for a while when the air conditioning went out at work, and the building has no windows. It felt terribly naked. Now I wear them sometimes, and leave them off at other times. Until that a/c incident, I had not gone without them since they were invented! To be honest, I don't wear them all the time anymore because they've become so expensive, and less expensive ones are truly junky!

I do only when appropriate (places you really have to dress up). I agree with them on the show, they are so uncomfortable! But with my legs (dry and WHITE - I do not tan!!) it wouldn't be very pretty if I didn't wear them with shorter skirts. I almost never do when I where long skirts (which I wear often when a skirt or dress is called for).

If I'm wearing a dress or something I'll wear them. They can be a pain to get on, but for the most part they're not that bad. I feel like they make me look better and I feel like things are more in control--if that doesn't sound too weird.

I never .wear pantyhose. But then, I don't wear dresses much. I suppose that if it was a special occasion and I had to get dressed up then I would but I atually think stockings are better. Because I'm Big and Tall and finding pantyhose that fit properly is a pain.

I don't care for pantihose, either, but if I have to wear dress shoes I wear them. that is because I hate the feel of bare feet in my shoes. Luckily, that is usually only on sunday. It seems to me Mrs. Obama might have worn them just that once for the tv show. It does look nicer and nmore refined. It is hard to find the right size, but it can be done.

no I am a large woman and have never found any that really 'fit all that well, and I do not like them anyway. my legs are'tanned, and well formed, so why do I need pantyhose. I am no longer a young woman and I like to be comfortable now myself rather than stuffed into hot sweaty ill fitting pantyhose that are too tight in one place and too loose in another.

I never wore them. My mom bought me a lot when I was still a kid and I had to wear a dress. But it's true- they're uncomfortable! Especially when I need to go to the washroom. It's a good thing we aren't required to wear hosiery nowadays. Although if I found a pair that made my legs look really good I wouldn't mind wearing it. :)

In the cooler months and for dressy occasions only. I do not wear a dress that often in the cold months, mainly in the summer and spring, when I will not need them.

Nope, I don't wear them. I refuse to be a victim of fashion. They are hot, they are uncomfortable, they are a pain to put on and they aren't cheap to keep buying. I wear what I want, and don't really care what anyone else thinks. LOL Oh, and the same goes for underwire bras, high heels, and girdles. I have no wish to look like Barbie!

Hi Chevee, I used to wear them years ago but now I live in my jeans and trainers and don't have to wear them and even when I'm going out to some special event I wear my black trousers so no I don't wear them at all. Tamara
