I agree. Why do they have to put all this pork in? Presumably to garner sufficient votes to get the bill to pass? I am very angry at how we got into this mess, though I have reluctantly got round to the idea that there will need to be some form of bailout / bank rescue to avert what I think could be an even greater disaster, so long as strict conditions are met (ie no lining the pockets of the bankers who got us into this mess and protecting the interests of the taxpayers as much as possible, also getting the banks to pay taxpayers over a period of time should the taxpayer be out of pocket). Why oh why oh why do we need pork? The bailout should be argued on its merits and improved upon if need be to deal with the issues I have mentioned above. There shouldn't be any pork to buy congressional votes, this is a disgrace! Even now, congress seems unable to do the right thing for the country, as it stands I definitely think this second bailout plan is far worse than the first (failed) effort.

Your car is in the shop so you take the bus to the grocery store where you grab a shopping cart and you shop for dinner. Yep, we definitely need this kind of pork.

Yep... when I saw that the proposed bill went from 3 to 150 then to 450 pages.. I knew I smelled bacon. It's crazy!
