Posts that are Considered to be Mature Content

I recently posted a discussion about "Army of Women", which is about finding a cure for Bre@st Cancer. One of the tags included not by me was "mature content." The word bre@st shouldn't be considered mature content. It is a part of the human anatomy. Women and men too have been diagnosed with this bre@st cancer and it is a topic that I find we need to discuss more often. This is Bre@st Cancer Awareness Month and I hoped that my discussion would get more views and more people signed up to help find a cure. Please take a look at the post and leave a comment if you wish to do so. But, more importantly, join with others so we will one day be free of this dreaded disease. Thank you.

I do think that this forum is censored way to much and shouldnt be. I understand that they want to be family friendly but post such as yours shouldnt be censored and somewords shouldnt be censored I wish they would allow some of those words on here if its approiate and not dissgusting.

Certain words do this adding Mature Content automatically. It is a software progrm for censorship myLot uses. Or their server uses it. One or the other. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

They should be considered a normal part of life - after all every mammel in the world has these glands. Unfortunately they are considered here (and in general to be honest) to be mainly for turning men on. Every discussion site I'm on has been discussing this and I hope the word gets out to all women. Some of my friends were part of the CIBC Run For The Cure. I hope that by the time my daughter is a grown woman this dreaded disease has been eradicated.

I hope that they get many many women to sign up for this cause. I have also seen it discussed on other forums too. The more the merrier!

I saw this research study and request for volunteers on the TV show "The View" and I joined up as a volunteer. Seemingly thousands of women joined after the TV show.

I'd like to know who gets to decide if something is "mature content". Can anyone put this tag on any discussion or is it generated by admin via a filter of somesort. It's certainly one way of sabotaging someone's discussion.

I totally agree with you that this should not fall under Mature Content. Cancer does not just happen to adults. I am a 16 year bre@st cancer survivor and I sure do want word to get out there so more women and men both will hopefully one day say they are a survivor also and then one day this dreaded thing can be a disease in the past.

My cousin raises a lot of money every year for this cause. She has her own team pink for the yearly walk/run-a-thon. My cousins and my Mom have had this type of cancer. I think Mylot should hire someone to read the topics with words that could go either way. Then make a determination. I had a funny name topic. A guy in our town had a name like the end of raccoon and the last 4 letters by themselves are't allowed. There is a hunting dog that is called the last 4 letters of that word. I can see if you were starting a real mature topic involving anatomy, but I think some topics should be read for content. Take care.

It amazes me how certain words are classed as offensive when it is perfectlynatural to speak about your body parts!
