Have you ever been so hungry it made you sick?

That's how I felt about an hour ago. I just suddenly got very sick feeling, and at first wasn't sure why. I went to do dishes and that's when I finally heard my stomach growling. Then I realized I hadn't eaten a single thing all day. I'd been so busy with grocery shopping and the kid's school parties and parades, I'd totally forgotten to eat! But I never actually felt hungry... I felt sick and weak. I've just finished eating and am finally starting to feel better.

I do this all the time and don't realize it until I get dizzy, light headed and get shakey. It's a very bad habit of mine. I just get busy with the kids and forget. I don't know how though because my kids get fed. You would think if I'm feeding them I'd eat too but nope.

I don't eat the same foods my kids do, so I can see how that happens. I'll make them peanut butter sandwiches, but I don't really like peanut butter anymore, so I feed them and if I'm too busy I won't bother to eat.

This is something I know very well, I am one of those people who only eats when it is absolutely necessary and even then I feel I am wasting precious time! It is such a horrible feeling though being so hungry that it makes me sick and dizzy. I try to set myself a routine where I eat something when I come in from school in a morning and then that way it does not matter if I go til tea time in the evening without anything else.

I don't think I've ever met a person (who is healthy) that thinks eating is a waste of time. I guess we differ on this subject, because I love food, and would eat non stop all day if I had the right food in front of me. I think mostly I eat out of boredom, and sometimes I feel pretty bored, especially on days when I'm tired or lazy so don't do anything around the house, I would just sit here and pig out all day. Now sleep... to me that's a waste of time, lol.

I feel like that a lot. I go way to long with out drinking too. I just don't feel thirsty and then at the end of the day when i think about it I realize that I haven't really drank all day. My mom gets on my case about it because she said I'll end up with the same health problems she is having. Which is probably true lol. I've been trying to drink more.

I never have a problem drinking. I'm always thirsty, I think it's a side effect of the smoking, it dries my mouth out. I always have something to drink with me. I go through at least 3 cases of soda a week, on top of the cappuccino I drink in the morning and whatever else I drink during the week. Sometimes I end up running out of soda by the end of the week.

I get that way when I get so busy I forget to eat. And it's the worst because it hits you so suddenly! I think we are just too busy to realize the feelings of hunger and by the time we slow down to realize it we are feeling sick!

That's pretty much what it was for me today. I knew I was hungry while grocery shopping, but my mind was on finishing the shopping so I could get to the kid's school, so I ignored the hunger. Then I sat down to relax for the first time today and that's when I felt ill.

Yes, I've been in that shape lots of times. I've been so hungry before that I was nauseated. I get up that way sometimes if I haven't eaten anything before going to bed. I think our metabolism goes haywire at times and we get that way when we do without food for a period of time.

Yes I think you're right. I was really pushing my body yesterday with grocery shopping and lugging the kids around. I really needed food, but just didn't think of it until I felt ill.

Actually my dad, my sister, and myself all get hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) easily, so if we skip a meal, we get those feelings real bad. My siter and I have even fainted before while trying to get food in our systems. Not a very good thing, but we just do not get too busy and I make myself eat.

Always make sure that you have a good breakfast as this is the main meal of the day,not supper. You may snack and supplement during the day.Just remember that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, its what gives you your start. You dont really need food when you are sleeping.

I don't forget to eat. I don't know how someone can forget to eat but I guess it happens to some. But when i am hungry, my ribs and my side starts to hur. It is not so much the stomach growling but the pain in my side. And when I eat, I feel so much better. That pain is awful. Minus the growling of the stomach, the pain in my side is my body telling me that I need to pull myself together and grab something to eat.

If I don't eat often enough I tend to feel faint and sick, the same feeling as if I were travel sick. I have a pretty fast metabolism, and it's always willing to let me know when I forget to stoke the fires!!

I have to eat early every morning because if I don't, I get very sick. It starts with a headache and ends with vomitting. My doctor said that I have low blood-sugar. It is more common than people think. The only way to cope is to eat early and often. Start with a healthy breakfast and eat small meals all day. It works for me. Whenever I forget to eat or don't have time, I grab an energy bar and juice. Try it. It works.

Yeah, when I went into crash diet a few years ago. It was so bad, even though I'm a lot lighters, I didn't even look good as my body felt like it was drained instead of it growing muscles and losing the fat. I felt very week and a slight cold can easily cause fever and other complications and it lowered my defense systems. I easily get illnesses and the duration of my sickness usually lasts for weeks instead of just days. It was really bad. Take care.

That's me quite often these days, I'm afraid to say. Today was the day from hell. It was one bad thing after the next starting at 7:00 am. When that happens I really don't stop to eat. I didn't even start cooking until 10:00 tonight and I was sick but not hungry so I had a slice of cheese and drank a cup of green tea. I never ate until around 11:30!

Yes, that happened to me last week, when I was minding my new Grandson. I wondered why I felt sick and realised I had not eaten. I got a migrane to the next day. When I realised I had not eaten and got something to eat I felt a whole lot better too. Glad you feel better now. I hope you do not get a headache tomorrow though, like I did. Take care and find time for you. It is hard but with Children. Very hard.
