I still want to know.

Now that Obama has won the election, there is something still bugging me about him. I don't know Obama's nationality and so I don't know if his election is even legal. There are no sour grapes here, I just want reassurance that our democratic process is working as it should and someone from another country could not just come over here and take over. How do you feel about this issue?

Obama was born in Hawaii, so he's authentic American. In the incredibly unlikely event that he's not, he presidency will become null and void and he'll be impeached. I'm not concerned with his nationality, mostly because I don't buy into the paranoid hypes, so it's not a big deal to me.

I hope this will be resolved soon. You are right if he isn't a natural born citizen he'll be put out.

It's interesting that somebody running for President doesn't have to first proof his basic qualifications for the job. One would think that there would be a requirement like that. Apparently merely the appearance that one is born in the US and that one is a US citizen is enough. Well, it shouldn't be. I, too, think it is suspicious that Obama has done and is still doing everything in his power not to have to produce the proper documentation besides the birth certificate posted on his website which has been authenticated.. but what is on the vault certificate??? And why not just have the public inspect it? After all, he will now work for us. Unfortunately, we'll probably never find out. He has now all the power to completely 'change' everything.

That's something interesting that I learned during this campaign. When people run for Senate, House, state or local offices, the states verify eligibility, but there is no agency that verifies eligibility of presidential candidates.

Interesting point, Ted. Think we could get President Bush to form a commission before he leaves office? Could he also issue an executive order for BHO to release his real birth certificate? It's something to think about.

I feel the same as you about it. However, nothing will now be done about it. Obama is President-elect. The democrats will pull together to protect him no matter what except if he should suddenly decide to switch parties. Then he is toast.

I am uneasy about the issue. What has our democratic process become if this is a deception being put over on the American people?

Sadly, that is a question that hasn't been answered. Obama produced a Certification of Live Birth, but that isn't the same as a Certificate of Live Birth (Birth Certificate). But Justice Souter had the chance to order his Birth Certificate as proof of eligibility, but chose not to. There are a few questions that came up in the campaign that have yet to be answered.

Berg's investigators concluded the online version of his certificate to be a photo shop fake. I think someone got to Justice Souter, either with a bribe or with a threat.

I do not think that Obama is a natural born citizen of the United States. I think the Democrats knew it but wanted someone of their ilk as President and decided to make an exception. Remember Tiger Woods and his fans lifting the rock so he could get his golf ball? Remember O.J. Simpson who was obviously guilty of murdering his wife and getting off because that policeman who was first on the scene was shown to be a bigot and his testimony not considered reliable? It is the same thing. They wanted a Black man as president, but it can work both ways. Once the law haws changed, it is open season. Now, let me see. Arnold the Governator of California would make a good president, would he not?

It is Affirmative Action gone awry, for sure. I like Arnold. The reason he didn't run this time was because fhe was born in another country. The Terminator would probably make a great vice presidential pick for Sarah Palin, too.

I think the VP has to be a natural born citizen, too. After all, he would have to step in if something would happen to the president....
