Don't you just hate those annoying myspace photos taken typically by young women and teenage girls where they're trying really hard to look sexy and they're taking the photo themselves and you can actually see their arm taking the picture? It annoys me so much! I know there is more to be concerned about in the world but I find this hilarious. You can tell they've gone to all this trouble of trying to look perfect and then spent time taking heaps of shots of themselves trying to find the best one to puton Myspace for everyone to see. That's fine! Nothing wrong with that but if they're trying to impress boys, isn't it best to just havea nice natural shot that someone has taken of you while spontaneously? I find these photos so much nicer. Anyone agree or disagree?

yes you are right. I don't see the point of taking load of pictures trying to make yourself look perfect and to upload it in the facebook or myspace or whatever.. why did I quit myspace? it's boring lol and i'm sick of seeing bunch of stupid pictures they think they are stars or something of that sort. They think they are popular lol. The picture I have in me, ummm yes I did take that picture myself, but I just like that picture of me. I do look a little chubby yes I know, but I like that hair covering my face, I just do! I didn't take that picture and uploaded it in mylot just to impress other girls?!? I know they WON'T be impressed -_-;; Besides... some of the natural shots of myself that someone took randomly or me spontaneously... most of them don't look good :p and I don't have so many of those...

Good point. It's like these girls are trying to be amature glamour models or the like. It does rather tick me off, and I do agree with you that pics taken spontaneously with a friend are nicer. It also shows how good looking you really are. Because in those 'glamour shots', girls sometimes can look better then they really do.

i agree with you on this, their are or mostly are trying too hard for them to impress anyone, or maybe they just want that people would find them charming and beautiful and catch friends more...

Both of my daughters are guilty of taking pics of themselves for their myspace page. Yes, I do agree with you that it is a bit hilarious that you can tell that they have taken the pics of themselves.

Yes. that gets on my nerves. I think they should have more respect for themselves. I think alot of them want to make themselves known and seen and love for peole to comment about it also.

Those kinds of pictures make me cringe! They always look like they are trying way too hard to be sexy. I hate how you can see their arm too! Gah, why don't they invest in a cheap tripod or at least use the self-timer function on their camera or cell and not make it look so obvious. I agree that you would think they would want a more natural shot. Natural to me is more sexy and appealing than those kinds of shots. I actually call those kinds of pics, Myspace pics, even if it's not on Myspace because they are so annoying and trashy. You know those chicks spend hours looking in the mirror while they take them and probably take tons of pics til they find the right one.

Maybe they don't have any friends. One would think anyone with friends would have better things to do than act like jail bait.

Well some of the photos of my college times on there I have taken myself, but in my defense I was not too revealing...just my drunken smile and eyes....which actually got rave reviews on there...but it actually was a nice photo of myself...my fav to date. But I agree some are just plain tacky and obviously whoever they meet are just as tacky.

Yes, I think they are so funny. They look so distorted and fake, they do not fool anyone. I mean come on does anyone really walk around with those expressions on their face?

I am in agreement with you. I hate those self taken pictures. My daugther's friend does that abd she looks so funny. She spends so much time on herself and those pics.

I try to not look too deeply into a single photo. I think determining how nice a photo is, is in the eye of the beholder. If I see a photo taken by someone themselves trying to be sexy, I don't judge the context. If they are good looking, then I they are good looking. If it's a natural shot and they don't look good, then they don't look good; vice versa. So, I tend not to look at the context but the actual beauty of the person in the picture!

Haha. I'm all for "self portraits" because I do take some myself, but I know what you're talking about. I find it quite funny when girls post up pictures with their lips puckered and such! I cannot image why it's such a fad in photography now a days that a girl looks "cool" or "sexy" with her lips puckered up or sticking out. Girls, are we blowing kisses to everyone on the web? And how about the ones with the half naked photos? Is the site Myspace.com or Adultfriendfinder.com? lol. Good topic of discussion. Take care!

I agree with you completely :) I take 'self portraits' myself, but I never do the dumb puckered lips shots and all he weird expressions most girls do. It looks so stupid! Especially the emo ones.. I don't have anything against emos, but most of them do seem to try way too hard to impress everyone with their big hair and really weird dramatic expressions lol.

I don't have a myspace page anymore but I know what you mean - it's funny how they have to try to hard to get attention. I like the spontaneous ones too and being caught off guard. Actually I love pictures with me and my son in them, especially if we both are goofy lol

OMG, yes!! My students have them all over Myspace and Facebook and I think that it is hysterical!! The boys think that they are stupid, too. As adults, some of us teachers did some "Myspace" faces and took pictures. The kids said, "Oh, you look so dumb" and someone else said, "And you think that you look better?!" LOL

Hi coffeeshot, I don't understand that at all either, If I want to put my picture up I won't pose for it either, I don't even know how to put them in a computer any way. Tamara

I do agree with this. I can admit though i do have some pictures that i have taken my self. I really don't spend that much time on them though. I think the picture's I look really good in though are the ones that are just like what ever or where accidentally taken.

Haha I know exactly what you mean. I don't know how old you are, but younger people call all those pictures "myspace angles" because the girls always make themselves look as good as possible, but then when you see them in real life they look hideous. I can't stand girls that spend so much time trying to impress all of these guys. It just seems so trashy to me.
