How often do you just say "the heck with it"

I am having one of those days. Could be because I am pregnant, or tired. I don't know. My daughter is at school, the house is in general quiet, and so I could get some chores done. But I have said the heck with it. I am probably just going to take a nap. What about you? Do you often get in these moods?

Yep I sure do! I've been a SAHM for 5 yrs and I get so sick of doing everything for everyone and no one does for me KWIM? I believe it's called burnout! And I've had it for sometime as being a SAHM. No appreciation for how the clean towels got into the linen closet or how they have a hot meal ready for them ect. *sigh* plus the cold and gray of winter doesn't get me any more motivated to get things done either.

I know the feeling. Gloomy days make me want to stay in bed.

If only we could just stay in bed on those gray days and do what WE wanted to do all day. But alas there's always something that needs to get done & kids needs to tend to.

I have days like that sometimes. If I don't have any orders that have to go out I will sometimes say forget it and hang out with my daughter all day and take a nap with her.

Sounds like you have what I call a case of the "f*ck its". You don't feel like doing anything, going anywhere, nothing. You just want to lay around and wait until the feeling passes. I have had this several times, and they have varying degrees. When I have to go to the store and don't feel like doing my hair "f*ck it", when I should be cleaning the house, catching up on MyLot, or promoting my business, but I would rather lay down and watch tv, "f*ck it". The good thing is, the "f*ck its" is not a terminal or chronic disease. They usually pass within a day. So just sit back, and ride out your case of the "f*ck its"! lol

You are pregnant and tired, take a rest. Your husband will understand. And, if he doesn't, suggest he try being the pregnant one next time and that should shut him up, right?

Hmm- just about every day. I hate to do my chores. I'll do dishes and laundry everyday, and cook dinner of course, but not much else. I hate to clean, so I usually only do it when it really needs it. I look around everyday and see all the things I should do.. but ah, it can wait till tomorrow.. if I have the energy.

I have more days than not when I say the heck with it. It can be crazy. I do what I can. but some days I say the heck with doing any housework and I am online more often. With moving a bout a month ago, I still have boxes to unpack and ghet rid of stuff. Of course I went through and got rid of stuff before moving. I have found more stuff I do not want after moving. I'm read to pass it on.

I think we all do it. :) It is quite normal and natural. I have said "to heck with it" many times in my life, and done something I was not supposed to do when I had a lot of work piled up. For instance, I go to bed early or curl up with a novel or just shut down my laptop. Cheers and happy mylotting
