That sounds like a very sweet gift for your friend. If I were her I would love that. I have never done scrapbooking but it looks so pretty when done and I am very sentimental person so I think that is just so sweet that you did that for her. I don't really have one special gift for anyone this year, but I have 4 children and a husband that I am shopping for and just seeing them open up the smaller stuff I got for them makes me happy. i made scrapbooks for my 4 nieces and one for a guy that my hubby works with (he paid me) and he is giving it to his mom for christmas, so i am interested to hear what she has to say (he loved it!) also, my daughter (11) has wanted a webkinz polar bear for christmas for a long time and i bought her one on ebay, so i cant wait to see her face (thats the best thing about christmas!!!)

i would have to say the gift i am most excited to give this year will be to my parents, youngest daughter, and sister........ME! i'll be going to see them for the first time in 2 years, and the first christmas together in 4 years. i can't wait to see their faces when i get there, none of them know i'm coming.

Not yet this year. The most excited I was for giving a gift happened about 3 of 4 years ago. My daughter was starting to collect Gone With the Wind music box figurines and I got her the first one for her collection. She actually cried when she opened it up and saw it. I wish I would have had a digital camera to capture the moment. I am attaching a picture of the one I got for her. That scrapbook sounds like a great gift for your friend and it will probaby get her hooked. hahaha I have a friend who scraps and she tells me I need to do it too but I would not even know how to start and she lives in a different state now so she can't show me. The one with Rhett kneeling is the one I got for her.

Yes, I do....just the other day my sister and I went and bought our mom a new recliner for Christmas, she's been talking about getting one for a long time now. So we all just put our money together and got her one, the thing is we can't wait till Christmas to give it to her, its in a box and they loaded it up in my sisters van, and when we got back to my house, we didn't know where we were going to keep it till then, because she's always at my house and she would see it. So we couldn't decide to just give it to her now or wait, I don't know what we're going to do. My sister took it to her house for now, but she doesn't really have extra room either. But we're excited about it...

Wow, that's a great gift to give your friend. Bet she will be thrilled to get this gift from you. I probably won't do much for Christmas since our kids are older and would prefer either money or gift cards. Yep, I will be buying gift cards to either Target, Walmart or both. Both are safe and the girls will use them as soon as they receive them. I've even tossed around buying them gas cards. Two of our kids have birthdays in December as well and one son-in-law. Too difficult to buy clothes for our kids and anything I pick out either isn't the right size or is something they just don't need.

Hi Jill. Oh, that scrapbook sounds so cool! Is that a great idea or what? I am embarrassed to say that I'm not excited about any gifts I'm giving as our plan at this point is to give either Visa gift cards or gift cards for restaurants and shopping. Everyone we give to just love those gift cards. But they sure do take something away from the whole Christmas experience, don't they? I did knit some small clutch purses that I plan to use to put the gift cards in that I'm going to give to my sisters, so they will like those.

She is going to love that! I love scrapbooking. My special gift this year goes to my best friend who lives half way across the country. We had our family pictures done about a month ago and she has begged me for one and I keep putting her off because I bought a really nice frame and framed her one for Christmas. I wont have to keep putting her off much longer before I drop it in the mail!
