I can't get it, I can't reach it!

A UPS guy has left a package at my door. Well not exactly. He left it on the ground and covered it with my door mat. He didn't leave it on the porch where I could take a step down, or on the bench next to my porch. This is one of the frustrating things of being at the end of a pregnancy I can bend only so far, then I skim it with my fingers. But I am not risking a fall, NO WAY. Would you wait til a family member gets home? I am hoping my hubby will get home early enough. Have you or anyone you know had this pregnant difficulty?

I can imagine the difficulty. Perhaps you should leave a note out for the UPS guy telling them where to stick the package. : )

I would have grabbed the broom and mop and maybe use them to try to move the box together to atleast get it in the house and then scoot it to where I was more able to get a hold of it. Or took a chair if you had a folding chair or light kitchen one and sit down then leaned to the side to get it.

I would wait til afamily member came home or a neighbor was out and out to ask them to help. I have had three kids. Out of the three...two of the pregnacies sucked. They were difficult to say teh least. That is why when I did the math 2 out 3 pregnacies were bad. I decided to get my tubes tied. I did not want to take anymore chances. besides my daughter was born face down and had to be pushed out by the doctor and nurse....no thanks I am done

Bend at the knees! I never bent at the waist when I was pregnant, I don't remember even having a waist when I was pregnant, lol. But even the day I went into the hospital to deliver the twins I was able to get down near the floor by bending at the knees instead of the waist. I actually did so in order to sit on the floor while awaiting admission. I was not able to sit in the chairs because they had arms on them and I was too wide! I did need a bit of help getting back up though.

Oh yes, I've had that problem before when I was pregnant. I would probably wait until someone else could get the package too.

I never really got a big belly when I was pregnant, but I know my sister in law gets a really big belly when she is preggo and she has a hard time maneuvering around towards the end. I am sure she would be leaving the package till someone else got home.
