How is your Christmas shopping going?

My daughter and I decided to meet and shop for Christmas on Saturday. We met at 9AM and didn't leave town until 11 that night. We had a barrel of fun shopping. I bought some shirts for all the boys. Sunday morning I woke up with those shirts on my mind! I was thinking that she might have had me buy the wrong size because we were in a different department. So yesterday, I decided to check them out. Sure enough, they were the wrong size. I wasn't near that store to exchange them, so I decided to go to another one yesterday afternoon and buy the same colors in another shirt. So now, I have to return the first round of shirts I bought, praying the others will fit! We had bought one thing Saturday, and later in the afternoon found something better and had to return that item before we left town. Better to do that, though, than having to go back another day to do it. But I'll have to make a special trip to take back the other three shirts.

Hi there Barb. I might say that is going perfect as i already wrapped all the gifts. All that is left in my case is write some of the cards on them (like the name and the wishes for the holidays) and wrap them up with ribbons (for the moment they only have the wrapping paper on them.

Sounds like you are going to be able to enjoy the last of the shopping days before Christmas since you have yours bought and wrapped. Wish mine was done! But I do this every year.

We have decided not to buy one another anything this year. We didn't buy anything for each other last year. But my husband is in need of a new billfold, and if I can find one, I'm going to buy him a good one. I looked on Saturday, but they didn't have anything I liked.

That is funny because I bought my son 2 nice dress shirts and am wondering if I got the right size too. I decided to just give them to him and he can exchange them if they are the wrong size. They were from JCPennys so he should be safe on exchanging. I am almost done. I just have to buy for one more person. Everything else is bought and wrapped. I am going out tonight to help my son do his shopping. I hope to finish tonight.

We had shopped in Penney's all morning but never thought about shopping for the boys shirts. I bought the first ones in Belk's. But, last night, I bought them all another one in Penney's. I know I'll be able to take the others back, though. It's just a matter of when I can get over there.

Christmas really snuck up on me. I was at work yesterday and one of my co-workers pointed out that Christmas was only 11 days away. Ten now and I haven't even bought a single gift. The worst part is that I work at the mall!!!!!

Well, I bought my first ones on Saturday. And I still have lots to do and don't really know what to buy and don't want to go out anymore! I thought about just getting a gift card and giving money. But the kids would not like that. So I guess I'm going to have to figure out what to do for them. I had thought about buying a television for my daughter's family, but her son informed me Saturday that the kids were buying one. They had already picked it out. So I guess that's out of the question. So I guess I'll try to figure out other things and go out and battle the traffic and the crowds to finish my shopping.

Fabulous. My side of the family had Xmas in October before my parents went south for the winter. I bought friends and other family presents starting in July. I sent my husband out to buy his own presents and give them to me to wrap because he only ever likes things he buys for himself. Even if I buy what he asks for, I always seem to buy it in the wrong store or for the wrong price. So, now I am all done except for filling stocking and wrapping.

I sometimes wish we could have our Christmas early, too! What I really love to do is to take the kids and let them shop for themselves. That's what we did last year, but it wasn't possible on Saturday.

Bleh, I want it to be over already. I have one big chunk left, then I'll be doooone. I expect that I'll be done by Friday. Big Lots, is the last store I have to go to. And I need to find a few more things for my Dad and then I can be done. It's been more stressful than anything, this year, lol.

Great!!! I am all done my Christmas Shopping. I work at Starbucks so I just bought everyone stuff from there at a discounted price. I just bought my mom's present on Saturday. That was the last present I had to buy because she took forever to tell me what she wanted. So now I have everything and I"m set to go. I'm not wrapping them this year to be more enviromentally friendly.

I did my xmas shopping online back in Nov. it was easier that way for me, I avoid the long lines, the struggle to find parking spots and the tantrums I will have to go through if my daughter did not like something. I am glad you had a good time shopping, it is fun to shop with somebody. I have not been to the mall in so long, I feel like I don't even have a life anymore. But i hope things get better soon. Happy shopping. I am glad I am not the only one that buys and find something better, and have to return. so now i do online and it discourages me to look for more stuff since I hate the struggle fo returning stuff via shipping and then waiting for my credit then new shipment, takes too long. Happy shopping.

My fiance and I just came back from Winnipeg. We figured that we'd try to get most, if not all, of our Christmas shopping done, while we were there. Luckily for us, we were able to get it all done. So now, we don't have worry about it. I'm really happy about that. Although, I know that he's looking for another gift for me, but I don't mind, because I too am going to get him another gift.

As for me, I didn't go for Christmas Shopping since I still don't have money to buy for gift but maybe within this week already.. This coming weekdays perhaps.. I'm still thinking what gift should I buy for my friends, family and my boyfriend.. Maybe, I will be thinking it right now so that when I'll go for shopping I don't need to keep on going from one story for other.. I want to be quick as possible so that I won't spend to much for shopping since there are still other things that i need to do.. I just hope that my budget for buying gifts are enough already..

Well due to the economic crunch the world is experiencing, I had to be very careful in purchasing stuff this Christmas. Just finished with the gift shopping last week. Some gifts are being wrapped now and the rest of the money goes to gifts for my daughter and for some Christmas dinner.

I'm done, and have been for a couple weeks... except I still keep getting more things, lol. We're expecting hubby's 401K check any day now, and if we get it I'll probably get him 1 more thing, but the kids are more than done. I still have to get a couple small stocking stuffers, and the gifts for the teachrs, but that's it. I even finished my shopping today.

I'm all done with my christmas shopping. I only bought my immediate family presents this year. Just my parents and my brother. My work is doing a secret santa, so I do have to get that still, but those are always real easy. I do love buying presents though. A lot of people find it stressful, but I think it's exciting, especially when I get to see them open it.

So far, I bought 3 tshirts for my family members. I havent' bought yet for my special friend, I am still confused what to give him. I am afraid if I bought a Tshirt I might pick a wrong size, so I am still thinking what to buy. The shopping malls are already crowded right now and it is so painful to stand for how many hours to choose a small items. I have a list for things to buy, may it help a lot. My greatest fear for holiday season is pick a wrong item for a person that's why I am planning carefully what to buy.
