Can you tell them apart?

This is for those with kids. I just noticed how similar my kids infant pictures are. If you set them beside one another you really cannot tell one child from the other. Is this the case with your kids? I think it's a bit freaky.

I don't have kids but just thought I would throw my own two sense in. My baby picture, my moms and my little sister all look alike and I swear I seen a picture of my mom when I was 12 and thought it was me..we looked so much alike. And everyone tells me how much me and my sister look alike although she is my niece that my mom adopted frm birth. Also my mom and aunt boh pregnant at the same time and had their babies just days apart had babies that looked almost identical like twins same hair, eyes, and everything. They still look alike.

It means that they are coming from the same factory:) I looked at your aviator. Your children are lovely. And I am sure that you are a proud mother of them. I have only one son. But it happens often with my infant pics. My youngest brother always thinks that he is in the picture instead of me. We resemble each other a lot. For the most part, yes. Though there are a couple of pictures were I couldn't tell who was who when my kids were babies and I guiltily had to look on the back of the picture to see the date as I was second guessing myself. And here I am their own mother. I of all people should know who my own kids are! LOL

Well, as you can probably tell from my avatar, my kids look nothing alike. It is very obvious which one is my son and which one is my daughter.

No not with mine. My oldest was a peach fuzz that looks like my hubby. The middle had a full head of hair to my surprise & to this day looks like me even when I was a infant to toddler. The youngest was peach fuzz and in his nb pics he looks like a boy and just like me & his face was rounder as he was a "big" baby.

I don't know.. I should ask my mother about this question as she had 6 kids when all was said and done. I believe when I was a kid we had fewer newborn pictures taken. Most that I remember are at least approaching a year old, I think. By that time, they certainly seem to look different.

That is really neat. I just have one child so I cannot compare any photos.

Yeah, when I look at my kids baby pictures I have to use other cluse to determine who might actual be in the picture. They were all really cute babies, but it is a little wierd how alike they look in their baby pictures since they look so different now! I have even noticed how much their baby pictures favor some of the other members of my family like my sister or my cousins.

Well, I was as reading your discussion and although use of this one is for parents I just couldn't keep my mouth shut and had to respond. I do not have children of my own, but I do have a younger sister, as well as a couple of cousins, and now a niece, all of whom in some pictures look the same. Obviously, as they've matured and grown older they now look different from one another, as there is approximately 20-25 years difference between the oldest cousin, and my niece. But, in absolute honesty, their baby pictures, look nearly identical. We always found ourselves, looking at the background or the ages of others in the picture, to find out the identity of the particular child. I am almost ashamed to admit it, but you do bring up a very valid point. It is a very very difficult, to tell one baby from another. Usually, we don't admit it, but I go by the color of clothing, or a hair barrett to tell me the gender of a child. It is also true, that I am looking in the background of some of their photographs to figure out where we're living ETC. The truth is it's not the face I'm going by, it's the clothing, background and other people in the picture that give me the clue as to who the baby is! Great discussion and happy Mylotting!
