hi there modstar! another nice and interesting topic, as always =) in my case, i think i like juice better. i blame it on my lactose intolerance (but strangely, i wasn't intolerant when i was a kid), and those silly TV commercials and websites that say "piglets drink milk from the mother pig. kittens drink milk from the mother cat. but human babies... they drink milk from a mother cow?". it made me think about why humans would drink milk of another animal. but probably you will catch me drinking soy milk or rice milk. hehehe. but i still like juice better. juice has more vitamins, especially now that i'm still down with the flu. waaah. had a nasty fever from saturday til tuesday. and from wednesday, it turned into flu. waaaah. hehe. that's why i need to drink juice again later. =P thanks for reading this response and happy mylotting! =)

I heard there's a high percentage of Filipinos that are lactose-intolerant. I never had rice milk yet. I'm curious though. Is it what they call "am"? Yeah, the weather is kind of acting strange so you might have caught flu from it.

Just like my teacher used to say, "MILK is a complete food!". Right, I'll go for juice. Yep, I'll go for juice. Depends on the juice. If it's just one spoon of powdered Eight o' clock or Tang to a liter of water plus loads of ice which melts later, then, definitely that's not nutritious. The healthiest juices are those freshly extracted from vegetables and fruits and drunk right after juicing.

You don't like "complete food" huh? lol! Huh, you mean i've been drinking powdered juice thinking they're nutritious but they're really not? Seriously? Real fruits are kind of messy to eat much more to extract or i'm just too lazy. lol!

definitely, you can't eat your fruit while typing on mylot coz you might just eat your fruit with the peeling still there. That would be a problem if you had mango, or banana, or...ok....jackfruit!Lol. Well, to juice your fruit or veg, you'd need a machine for that. True, the healthy way takes a lot of effort and hardwork, something which requires you to get up from your seat!

This is a good question even though you have elaborated the topic much and i need to say you that both are good only but you cant take much of milk per day since it rockets yyour weight to a high but whereas you can have fruit juices which are low in calcium for en number of times per day as they do not increase your weight and they give you the power as having a full meals and your weight does not increase that much... Happy Mylotting

Earlier I was very fond of milk with some flavor added to it. But when I suffered from fissure I learned that milk is not good for constipation problem. I was advised juice and it really helped me. Surprisingly, I have come to like juice which I did not like earlier.

Hello modstar! I would prefer juice. I rarely drink milk is just that I don't like the taste actually. At home, we never missed juice everyday. I know that it has a lot of vitamin c so even if I rarely drink milk, I still have some vitamins in me.

I like the good ol' orange juice. There are milk that comes with fruit flavors though. I think you should drink milk from time to time.

I am fond of both. But usually I drink more of the juice as compared with milk. Usually the juice is part of my meal. The milk is taken rarely now since I do take in food rich in calcium instead of taking in milk. Sometimes I just mix milk with chocolate to add flavor to the drink.

I like milk, and used to drink fresh and chocolate milk. I don't know why, but I started getting stomach upsets from milk (they said it's lactose-intolerance), so I switch to fruit juices instead.

I'm not really sure what your question is. Are you are asking which to drink? My answer would be, Why not both? Either one would be better for you than those flavored waters that are so popular now. Besides, while I love fruit or vegetable juices, chocolate tastes MUCH better in milk!

Hello modstar yes I agree milk and juice are two natural health drinks which can supplement the body with much needed nutrients..Mikl is very good for children but in older people milk intake has to be checked because it is a great source of cholestrol and calcium.I think you should also mention water since drinking of atleast 8 glasses a day is recommended by doctors and dietitians alike to cleanse the body and to keep the skin free of blemishes......

I drink milk and juice, though I dont really like milk but because of its very important role in our body I always forced myself to drink atleast two glasses a day because it is the requirement to obtain enough amount of calcium, folate and other vitamins and minerals. I also drink juice everyday, especially during lunch and dinner to have an easy digestion. For milk I choose a brand with high in calcium.

I do not drink milk, I drink only juice. Mainly apple juice and some grape juice. I do not like the taste of milk and have not liked since I was a child. I think that milk looks like a healthy drink but I just do not have a taste for it. If I try to drink it, it makes me sick.
