This was a good weekend for me. Lazy but good none the less. This shot shows the heavy large flakes of snow that fell on Sunday. I got maybe a half inch at the most. The temperatures were normal for a change and not the artic, frigid air as of the past few days prior. It was about 27 Sunday which is above the nmormal high of 20. Had the daughter and granddaughter over as well on Saturday. Shopoped and went to Fuddruckers for lunch. How was your weekend? As far as the weather? Did you do anything special? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I had a wonderful weekend. We had a family reunion put on by my youngest son who lives ion the U.K. He does this every year and it is getting larger and larger. Wonderful for my children to see all of their cousins and uncles and aunts. We are becoming such an International family as people came from 3 countries and our family members are of so many different ethnic origins i.e. There was curried goat, jerk chicken and pork, roasted fish and all the side dishes and one fantastic dish made from cornmeal that was baked by my NIL's wife. She is from the Ukraine. So yes, to see two of my sons and their sister (the third son couldn't make if from N.C.)seeing their cousins and in some cases the children of the older cousins was great. It was totally special. Blessings

Good deal. I can not recall the last family reunion I went to. It had to be 40 years ago or so. I had just ran away from home I recall and I was 13 at that time so that's my guess anyhow. I did have a great grandfather in Poland that lived to 111. He passed away about 25 years or so ago. That is the only relative I know or knew of that lived in a different Country. Sounds like a huge thing your son put on. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

a family reunion last weekend! that's really great. it is good to know that you have had such a good time spent with all that much big a family. and to think that so many came yet from other countries in order to be there for the occasion. plus all the food that was prepared to last for the entirety of it. they all sound so delicious, too. the family reunions that we have had counted much too few if compared to that of yours. this is the reason why i hardly know any of my uncles and aunts, usually only an aunt and an uncle will be there. i have very few cousins, too. and as for grandchildren there are only four.

My weekend was busy but it was so great to have above zero temps. We had a little mist on sunday morning but early afternoon was wonderful with the sun shining. I went to my son's in Austin though mid afternoon and by the time I left after supper it was a very nasty drive home....blowing snow and flurries. Today however is balmy! 10 above!

Our weather was nice. We got up to about 80 I think. My husband had to work for awhile Friday night and all day saturday so sunday we didn't do anything. He keeps waiting on a nice day to go play golf but the best days are during the work week, it is either too cold or too windy on the weekend.

It was cold all last week and the temperatures rose on Sunday, but then the winds set in. Then, today, it's 44 right now, with the chance of snow flurries. And tomorrow, the high is supposed to be 34 with flurries again. I doubt that we get any real snow, even if we get any flurries. But then, I could be wrong. You never know about the weather forecast around here.

Hey Grandpa Bob! We had snow most of this weekend and very cold weather! It just started to warm up last night, but it still was snowing and then again today we got more snow! But, at least the temperatures got to 30 finally! A heat wave for us too! I haven't heard of that resturant Fuddruckers in years! We used to have one but it closed years ago! I loved that place! I thought they all went out of business! Wow! We used to go there for burgers and had lunch there all the time! I need to visit Minnesota to find all the places that we don't have here anymore!

We still have a few near me. I love their burgers. But this p[lace was cold inside. A huge ceiling didn't help though. But the burgers and onion rings were tasty. I love that place a lot. Do you have Outback Steakhouses in your area? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

My weekend was fine not as cold as it was Thursday and Friday here in the south. I almost froze those two days and nights. We are not used to that cold weather. The temp here dipped down into the teens. And that is very unusual for us. You stated that your daughter and the kids come over to your house Saturday and the temp was about 27 degrees. I would freeze in that type of weather. When we are in the 20's I try not leave out the house. I guess you guys are used to it. Speaking of shopping in cold weather no way only when I just have to. And then I am trying to get back home.

Well, besides having a Case of the Flu and not really being able to do anything you could say I had a Good weekend. I have no idea how warm or cold it was as I slept a lot of it. I am heading off to the Doctor even now as we speak as I still am not feeling well at all. Glad to hear it is finally starting to warm up there. You guys really need it.

Don't you get a flu shot each year? I have for the last 6 or so years and it is great not getting that thing anymore. I started getting it when dad moved in as does he now also. Sure helps a lot. The wife gets it only if she goes to the Dr in the fall/winter. If she doesn't need to see the Dr. she doesn't get one. And sure enough she gets the flu then. Hope ya feel better soon. Sleep and fluids are needed by you. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

the weather was deathly cold and I didn't do anything special, I am always full of arthritis that flares up in this kind of weather, and I feel miserable.

so you enjoyed that weekend enough. having the love ones around will always make the days happy and filled with joy. as always, i spend the weekends with my sons at home. then at late afternoon of saturday till eight o'clock in the evening we are in the church for some choir practice for about an hour followed by a bible study. on sunday morning we attended the church sunday service. the afternoon was spent at home with the kids. everyone was too lazy to go out and buy some needed things. we always enjoy our weekends together even if the plans to go out and go shopping is hardly ever carried through at most times.

"Shopoped"?!? Is that the same as shop till you drop? (Just how many fingers have you got there on your keyboard?) Anyway, for my weekend, I just stayed in my nightie and robe Saturday and Sunday. The valve on the hot water supply burst, so couldn't take a bath, so why bother getting dressed?

We had 100mph winds on Saturday and I did not go out the door. On Sunday I helped lift our old carpet in my hall as the carpet fitters where coming Monday and I brushed all the dust on the stairs down. Today it snowed and lay. It is -2 and thank goodness it rained, as I hate snow. I am glad it is a lot milder for you Bob. You have had a bad bout of snow in Minisota this while back. I am also pleased Savanna came to visit and you enjoyed your weekend with her.

Grandpa... My hubbby and I just got home Sunday and the weather was around 60 but windy. We just got home from San Diego Sunday. We went on a vacation with my daughter and her husband and the two grandkids. The weather there was great. It was 75 to 80 nice and sunny. Went to Sea World and Disney Land with the grandkids. I love it down there. Spend a lot of time on the beach, the grandkids just loved it. I wish we had weather like that all the time.

Our weather was very warm. We broke records with the heat. It was 70 degrees and we have the house opened up. We also had the baby shower for my going to be grandbaby. He is due next month and is already 5lbs 6oz in the womb. It amazes me that they can tell the weight of the baby in the uterus. He has hair and is going fine.
