I do talk to my baby though he cannot talk yet, hehehe... I think you're right, Bombshell. Babies can feel the warm sphere generated by their parents.

My mom always gve me and my brother a kiss and a hug goodnight and I have found that as we got older we don't do that as much. We tell each other goodnight and still give hugs, but the kisses faded. But with my fiance (he proposed!) I do give him a kiss goodnight and each morning when we are together, and will happen more when I move in with him.

Yes my son does that. Even when he goes out to school, he kisses both of us and says goodbye. I hate to say this but it could be our last goodbye. I mean I don't want to think abou such bad things but we are living in a real world accidentc can happen. I think it is a nice gesture that needs to be nurtured from such a young age since we need to appreciate more our family.

sweet gesture. yes. our son has this gesture too. he says goodnight and wakes us up with a smile and greeting us goodmorning. we also teach him to say his prayers before sleeping and kissing the hands of the parents as respect. i hope you didnt forget that philippine tradition of mano, bomb. my wife is teaching a new one. when he says sorry he has to caress both our cheeks. sweeeeeeeeettttt

My kids say that to me everytime when they go to bed but not often in the morning cos I had tight schedule and would normally leave the house before they wake up. But comparatively the Asians are more reserved and tend to withhold this part of manners that are so prevalent in western cultures.

My children always go to bed with..goodnight, love you and a kiss. never leave the house for the day without saying i love you, and always a kiss. I wouldn't say it was good manners as such, i don't know, i mean they only do that with myself and their father. They are polite and well mannered as in, they will always say please and thank you, are well spoken and respectful of other adults etc

My daughter goes to be with tucks(tucked in she's 3), hugs kisses love you and (something she came up with) See you in the morning when the sun wakes up! Usually the parent that doesn't tuck her in gets hugs kisses and love you before she goes into bed! In the morning she says she needs her wake up hugs! And she will never leave the house or vehicle without saying I love you to the parent who is staying home or not going with! Also when she talks to her grandparents on the phone she NEVER hangs up without an I love you!

Hi You are right! Parents teach their children how to behave and I am very happy that my baby learning every thing though she is 11/2 year old. She never miss a goodnight kiss to daddy and me. She cant tell goodnight but learning to tell something with her flying kiss. We both love her flying kisses. We do give her a goodnight kiss and goodmorning Kiss. Nice to have a kids!

I am constantly hugging and kissing my kids and telling them I love them. I don't remember either one of my parents doing those things with me when I was a kid so I think it's very important. My kids know I love them and that they are the most important people in my life.

my son just turned two. and we have our "lovey"routines.. he always gets his kisses from both of us, and i love yous. he kisses me, then his daddy, then we all kiss together, and then more seperate kisses until we just finally say "it's time for bed you can have more kisses tomorrow" (we are suckers for kisses lol). how can you resist a your cute little two year old trying to give you kisses? he gets kisses in the morning, and the afternoon, and all day long. he's a very affectionate kid. which, i do believe comes from the parents, because my husband and i are very affectionate towards each other. i wouldn't want it any other way. i always sit back and think of the kids that have only single parents and don't get that special love from both mommy and daddy.

Hello dear friend! I miss you and I'm glad that you are really doing well here in myLot, I cannot visit this site more often because of office works,, but if I have time, I make sure to check all my online activities... :) Well, with regrads to your discussion, I agree with you, I instill good values and habits to my children too,.and we practice that same thing like you do.. I believe that giving them the right foundation while young will surely make a difference in their adulthood.. Have a great day!
