Which is healthy, a yellowish pee or clear/colorless pee?

Clinically, we need to test our urine to determine our health. But can we base it on the color of our pee? If yes, then which one signifies good health, a yellowish pee or clear/colorless pee?

Light yellow is better than dark yellow. When it is dark it means you need to drink more water.

Well i agree. Dark yellow pee must contain something that is really toxic that if we keep it inside our body, it might lead to complications. I think it's a lot more dangerous that light yellow but i still prefer clear pee.

I agree with the response above and can only add that dark, yellowish pee can also be an indication that you're not taking in enough fluids, causing your output to be more concentrated. Drinking plenty of water is good for you in a number of ways but it's especially good for helping to keep your urinary tract free of bacteria.

I'll take that advice seriously. I had UTI before. It was painful. Don't want to go back to that situation again.

I think the healthy is the normal yellowish one. Colorless or clear pee is not an assurance of having a healthy pee. Of course we can't really tell because it's not our job except those Medical Tech. because they would be using some high tech method including microscope to check our pee. If we judge through our own naked eyes we can't really tell because I can easily change my yellowish pee to a clear one by drinking plenty of water...Nice topic my friend..cheers

Yes. Not unless you let your pee be checked by the experts...are you some kind of a "pee conscious" man?

Yes, health can be basable by the color of your pee. Dr. Oz in Oprah says that the most preferable color of urine is one that is clear enough to read through--and with that I mean it. It's not even about the smell. Some of the food we eat makes our pee smell funky. Color's the best base.

I trust Dr. Oz. It bothers me sometimes that he is a celebrity doctor. He may be hyping things up. I check my pee, it was yellow this morning then clear during noon.

hello, i believe that your urine color should be a pale yellow, a clear color urine happens when you drink a lot of liquid. But the color can be changed by the foods that you eat, it can also get darker if you take vitiams.

Yes, i do take vitamins. I noticed it too. It really gets too yellow. I heard that's where excess vitamins go.

dark yellow urine means dehydration so take a lot of water if this is noted

I think so. It could mean that the bladder has filtered out a lot that the remaining liquid waste is too concentrated.

I don't know why but I prefer a yellowish pee. I don't eat meat for a month and I feel everything in me is lighter than ever. It's a kinda cool feeling!

I prefer clear pee. I don't know but i feel that when my pee is color yellow or something dark, i begin to worry that i might have some illness or something. I think yellow pee is more toxic than a white pee.

I believe that I read once that urine should be a pale yellow to almost colorless. If the urine is too yellow or amber/orange in appearance then it has either sat in your bladder too long or you did not take enough fluids in during the day. You should urinate often and it should be a light shade - that is considered to be healthy urine. Have a great day and happy myLotting!!!

I hear if you don't take vitamins or drink lots of water your urine will be very dark colored or a very bright yellow. I always drink lots of water and every once in awhile I drink cranberry juice I love to drink tomato juice. I think grape juice flushes out the liver or is it the kidneys I don't remember I may have to go look that one up. But water is always good for your bladder.

Straw yellow is the right color of urine.Colorless, that is white says, you have adequate water content in your body.Strong yellow color indicates insufficient fluid content in the body and you have to take water immediately.About any diseases, you have to go for a check up,if the doctor suggests.Cheers!

Urine color can be a basis but it's not definitive and you couldn't rely on it alone. Other aspects of urine must also be considered such as the volume, and other microscopic properties. A strong yellow pee may indicate concentration. Meaning, there is little water in it. Meaning, you could be dehydrated or drinking so little. It could also be strong yellow or orange or even red due to some types of food or liquid, vitamin intake, side effect of some medications, hemorrhage of some sort, or expected outcome after a surgery or diagnostic procedure. A colorless pee can mean you are drinking adequate amount of water, therefore it is dilute. It can be a basis for your hydration status. I am not sure about this but there was a certain ailment that causes a colorless pee and white colored stools. If you are generally healthy you don't have to worry about it.

i am always checking my urine color. The color usually reminds me to drink more liquids, especially the number 1 toxic fighter - all natural water. The color of the pee is important, we pee and we release toxins. I hope we will check our pee color everyday . Happy mylotting and smile always

I would say clear or light yellow. I'm definitely not an expert, but I always noticed that the more water you drink in a day, the clear-er your pee is! (and the opposite is true if you DON'T drink water - your pee is super-concentrated and yellow). I'm not sure what the relevance in this is, except that we know drinking water is good for you, so having clear pee must be good for you, too.

i have heard that clear pee is the healthy one. it means that you drink a lot of water instead of juices and sodas. colored or yellowish pee signifies that you are drinking less water and drinking more juices or sodas which is not good for our health.

It all depends on how much dust is present while you eat Mrs. Fields cookies...lol. Seriously, the only time you would get an accurate color is first thing in the morning. If you drink a lot of water throughout the day, of course it will be lighter during the day. Not being a urologist, I would assume that color is better. I have no idea at what point the color becomes bad.

when it comes to health then pee shoulf be colour less , means how much clear pee is that much healty you are and level of yellow colour shows that there is some problem in you body and measure time it reflects the lack of water but its also show that you are not healthy thanks for sharing

Colorless just means that all toxins are cleared out. Yellowish means that your toxins and such are being expelled.
