right now my husband and son are just driving me nuts with the noise they are keeping up just playing. i am getting a bit annoyed to be honest. so im writing about it to you all to keep from blowing up at them. i know they are just playing but here lately i cant stand noise. i like it to be quiet especially in the morning. i know its not near possible with a two year old but omg! okay they have settled down. what about you? does noise bother you? or does it not matter one way?

I'm with you, I don't like noise either, and I get stressed rather quickly when there's too much. I probably yell at the kids a few times a day to be quiet, of course it doesn't work. I'm stressing right now, and it's not because of noise level, it's just because everyone is trying to talk to me at once. We're trying to get a few things organized for the move, and I had the kids bring me their toys so I could weed through them and toss the ones we're not keeping. It was a fiasco, all the kids talking to me at once for me to figure out if we're tossing or keeping the toy in their hand. Ugh!

With me it usually depends on how stressed out I am to begin with. Like yesterday it had just dawned on me that it's THIS weekend that we're moving, and I haven't even started packing yet!!! So I'm stressed and overwhelmed right now, so I don't tolerate anything as well.

i get annoyed when people try to talk to me at the same time. like today im about to get ready for work in a few min and i know i wont walk in therapy 2 min before my name is called by all 5 therapists in there wanting me to do something that is not part of my job description. ugh..... i get to where i really am starting to hate my job. and noise just pesteres me to no end.... i feel for ya!!!

loud noise bothers me most especially if I am doing something very important and have to concentrate on it. All I do is get my ipod and listen to soft music in this way I wont hear that annoying noise at all. Loud noises always gives me headache thats why I always have my Ipod with me.

There are times that noise will bother me. If I have a migraine, noise is horrible. I think it is nice your husband is taking the time to play and bond with your son. Yes, the noise can be deafening but it will pass soon. Then you will have the memories. At least they are laughing and giggling which is so much better than yelling and fighting. Enjoy your situation as best as you can. Count those blessings.

I live in an apartment and have some really stupid, annoying neighbors. One of them keeps his door open and plays his music so loud and claps his stupid hands. He also talks too loud. Also, there are people on my floor that sound like a freakin' herd of elephants when they go by my door. Not to mention, talk too loud. Also, there's those that will carry on a conversation just right outside of my door, seemingly. I'm not the least bit interested in hearing all that crap, so yes, noise pisses me off.

oh that would piss me off too. i would end up swinging my door open and yelling at them or something. i dont see how some people lack tact and respect for others. hope it quietens down for you there.

I grew up in a large house. I have four younger sisters and we also have two dogs so there was always noise. Because of the way I grew up in it I find noise to be rather calming. When I went away for school I couldn't study, I couldn't sleep, I couldn't anything because there wasn't any noise. It bothered me a great deal. The only way I could find to get around is to put some music on while I study and I have the TV or my iPod on while I fall asleep. Needless to say, I get uncomfortable when things are quiet.

i can see that. i dont mind a little noise like a fan or the tv on low volume but i cant handle loud noises like people talking loud or at the same time. i cant deal with barking dogs tho. but then im a cat person not a dog person but yet i have 2 dogs. go figure haha

Since my son is now in kindergarten and is gone for half a day now, I also have a 1 yr old but I can get her settled and happy on her blanket with sesame street next to me while I get online, that is my quiet time during the day...some days I can block out the noise...and some days I have to walk away. Vent away, I understand the need to do so every now and then...LOL take care and happy mylotting!!

Noise from kids doesn't usually bother me, as long as it's happy noise and not fighting, bickering noise. It's awful hard to keep a 2 year old quiet, whether he's having fun or not! I know in the morning when I want to sleep in, I usually stick on my earmuffs and go back to sleep. They muffle the noises just enough so I don't hear the noises, yet I could still hear the fire alarm, or something. Otherwise, I just kind of tune noises out (one of the benefits of being old and half deaf hahaha) Kind of cool though that your hubby takes the time to play with him, so often the Dad's don't play with them when they're still so little.

Just spend an hour or two on the weekends in a car on top of a mountain. It keeps me calm and energized. Whenever you hear noises again just think about being on the mountain top.

Yeah, sometimes noise does bother me. I live in an apartment, and sometimes my husband wants to turn the music on. That is not bad, but he has the volume turned up so loud. I am constantly telling him that we are right there the music does not have to be blasing, plus our landlord lives downstairs. When he does that I just leave the room, go into my bedroom and close the door. The music is so loud it does not sound like music, just a bunch of noise, then my husband will get his guitar to play along, and that really drives me nuts.

I won't say that is a noise because if I were you, I would enjoy play with them instead of "hearing" the "noise" so it doesn't bother me. Some noises do bother me though like the fan in the gas stove gets too loud, some construction noises etc, I hate those!

Noise doesn't bother me that much. In fact noise helps me go to sleep. Weird, I know. But it has to be a soothing noise from like a humidifer or something. Not knocks from a hammer or something! Lol. Why are they making noise for? Tell them to pack it in! LOL.

It's funny how some days things bother you more. Some days I like things very quiet and noise bugs me a lot. Other days I can tune it out. Usually, most days, noise does bother me. Whether it's kids or the neighbors lawn mower or my boyfriend snoring or people at the office speaking Spanish to each other. Silence is golden, like they says at the movie theater!

Yes noise bothers me a lot. When a child cries on the top of his volume. It is really irritating sometimes they don't stop crying. Here in the place where i live.I live next to a highway. So when there's a jam there's always honking noise.Sometimes big trucks with things make a lot of noise.

noise is big proble in our life, but in my opinion, man often fazed by their heart bot not the noise around them. when some one's heart is restless, even he or she live a a deep mountain or forest, he or she can not get peace. so the most important things is that our heart can not in a peace situation.

I have recently moved into a newly built apartment. Most of the rooms in this building are empty, and several days ago, people begin to decorate the house. The noise they made totally drives me crazy. They crash down the walls, drill in the floor, move huge heavy furniture... In the midnight they even do the "happy jump", dancing just above my head!! I donn't wanna offend others, but I have to tell them my true feeling...

I dont really get bothered By noises, in facr, if the noise annoys you its because your paying too much attention to the noise itself. Its better to concentrate on something else.
