because I was so angry this morning. I am trying to get the monthly accounting records completed today. My boss, who is on prperty has been verbally harrassing me from yesterday. He has just said that he wants me to produce the budget for the next fiancial year BY TOMORROW. I do this usually in the third week of March each year with the accountant. The accountant he cannot comer until after work! This means that I will have to stay at work to at least 10 tonight as he wants it presented to him by 9 am tomorrow morning. I have come to the awful conclusion that this man is evil and is still working assiduously for me to lose the job. Sorry for the rant - I have to take what he dishes out to me as so many are losing jobs and it would be difficult for me to get another job. I have been at work from 7 am this morning and do not get paid overtime. He is really after his pound of flesh.

So sorry Cynthiann!! I really am. What that man is doing to you is dreadful. But I do believe that what goes around comes around. In the end you'll be rewarded somehow, and he'll get what's coming to him. You're such a sweet and wonderful person, I can't imagine how anyone could be so cruel to you. I am sending big hugs your way in hopes you feel better and less stressed!

Kill him with kindness! I know you can do that. Show him that what he's doing to you will not affect you or your work. He's not worth getting flustered or fragmented over. He's just a creep, and in a few years when you're capable of retiring, he'll be absolutely nothing!

Oh, thank you dear. I am so fragmented at the moment. I just wnet to the phartmacy and begged the pharmacist to give me one tablet to calm me down and I am beginning to feel better. when I get fragmented he becomes even more cruel by phoning me constanlty and sending me emails. I just too a five - I've been here from 7 am . I cannot think straight when I am fragmented and this is how he wants me to be so that I will make mistakes. I am ignoring his emails so as to try and get the work done and then he calls me and tells me that he has sent an email and wants an answer immediately! He definitely thinks that he is God. Many thanks for the hugs,. am feeling a bit better now. will make a cup of tea and get back to work. Bless you

I am sorry to hear that you are still having trouble with your boss. He sounds like a very unpleasant man to deal with. Is he that way with everybody or just you? He sounds like someone who can only be happy while trying to make someone else miserable. I understand having to just take it though since so many other people are losing jobs and it would be hard to find another job. I got your postcard yesterday in the mail. Thank you, that was very nice to get in the mail.

Would imagining in your head that you were beating him within an inch of his life make you feel any better? Probably not, and I am sorry. I wish bosses would think about what they would do if they were treated how they treat the people who work for them. But of course that rarely happens.

I'm taking a 20 mins break for lunch and just checked MYlot. He has been on a campaign form last year to get rid of me as I would not give him details about my p/time job. Most people here know that I do another job but it is my business. he wanted to know who I was working for, and what I was being paid and how many hours per week. I refused to tell him after taking legal advice and so he wants to get rid of me. He really is evil - and this is the worst that I can say about anyone. I really am so cross but have to hide it - then my bp goes sky high. Sorry for the rant.

It sounds like a control issue, and it does sound like he's being ...a pest... on purpose. If there's anyone above him, I'd try and talk to them about the things he's doing to harrass you. Don't know where you're located, but in Canada you could speak anonymously to the Labour Board or Human Rights to get info on action you can take in this case. ...I could share some stories of my own, but even here I don't totally trust how anonymous this is lol... You're not alone, though, if that's any comfort...

Thak you for responding. Yes, it is a control issue. It is 6 am and I am at work waiting for the accountant to come. I cannot do anymore work until he arives and checks what I have done. he is also vindictive. The Board had a meeting about 2 months ago and I was not invited. However, ta few of them had heard and told him at the outset of the meeting that I was the best Property Manger that they had ever had and that they would not vote to dismiss me. So he denied that was the reason for meeting without me. Mnay thnaks

I hope you have gotten it resolved by now and that you didn't have to stay too late! That's a bummer but I also know about bad bosses! Or at least demanding ones...I feel for you!

The accountant and I were in again very early this morning and we did manage to get the budget completed by 9 am as he wanted. he did not find anything to criticise and so has now left the property to return to the city. I am goofing off now as I cannot do any more work and put in so many extra hours. My stress level is so high and I know thtat I have to lkearn to deal with him better. Thanks for your best wishes and for respoonding - I so appreciate it.

you have my sympathy. i have worked for some real nasty people in my lifetime and i know exactly what it is like. there have been times when i was able to walk away and leave them hanging by finding a better job but there were times i had no choice but to stick it out and it was really hard to go there everyday of my life. in this economy you cannot take any chances. are you the ohly one who knows how to do this? if so i would tell him that he needs to talk nicely to you or you will look for another job. also you need to lay down the law and tell him that your time is yours and he cannot just assume you can stay until 10. if you do not do these two things he is never going to treat you any better. in fact it will get much worse. let me know what happens. good luck to you

i just wanted to let you know that i had the same exact situation at work for over 8 months and i documented the harrassment with dates and times and who did what. at the end i told my boss about it and he said he would not fight me if i wanted to collect unemployment because he was afraid. he did not say he was afraid but he knew i could cause alot of heartache for him with my documentation. also it is called harrassment and if you leave a job under duress like that due to harrassment and because he was piling work on you then you will be able to collect unemployment. trust me, i did.

My age plus the economy is against me in finding another job. I do have a part time job that I need to keep. He knows this and just enjoys bullying me. It is a game that he is playing for me to walk off the job so that He does not have to pay me any redundancy money if I was fired. so he is literally in my face by bombarding me with phone calls and emails demanding reports and things immediately that are totally unnecessary. Thaks for your good wishes and advice.

Hi cyn, wow...No overtime pay? That is very unfair..but, you are also correct to just bite your tongue since it is truly hard to find a job this time. But, hopefully, your boss will learn to care for his staff....

Hi cythiann~ I am so sorry that your azzhole boss is still being the biggest jerk in the world! I wish that someone could see what he is doing to you and stop him already! He really is such an azzhole! He is cruel and he deserves to have someone above him find out how he is treating you and he is the one that should be fired! How can he do this to you and get away with it? He is making you work all these extra hours without paying you overtime and treating you like sh!t! Now you have me ranting! I just hate when bosses do this kind of crap! I was treated worse myself and it made me physically and mentally sick and that's one of the reasons I am in the postition I am in now~ unemployed and filing for disability!

I know that I need the job and I know that I have to be strong to deal with him. I get fragmented and he loves it when I stammer or forget something. It is cruelty and no, there is no one to report it to as he is the boss. Everyone is cared of him and this is what delights him. Thanks for responding.

Hi Dear Friend, It happens that in our life we have to face some real difficult people but I bet if you are gaining out something going through the ordeal then we may have to check our temper. I have had some real bad experiences with some real "monsters" but for the benefit of my interests I had to take the insult with salt. I sincerely hope you can find a better job with a better envioronment to work in. Till then forgive that ".......". Cheers, Bodhi
