I know, Darwin Awards are reserved for those who kill themselves stupidly, or have close calls. But this beats all: http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5i4aZPOJNx3m5mN5nW5N1KhFbm4mQD96T6SC80 This woman could have seriously harmed or killed someone's child. "Ten children drank windshield wiper fluid after a staffer at an Arkansas day care mistakenly put the liquid in a refrigerator and served it, hospital officials said Friday." Apparently one of the workers went out to get supplies and put the windshield wiper fluid in the fridge and mistook it for blue kool-aid. Do they not look at the labels?! The lady who ran the daycare out of her home will probably be in big trouble. She's had no complaints before so I have to think this was an honest mistake but parents, watch your kids' daycare providers and tell them about this story. I'm sure it will remind them to read all labels before serving anything to the children!

It's usually in a big gallon bottle that's taller than a milk jug and has a label that goes all the way around it! Maybe it's time to bring back the big skull and crossbones that used to be on poisonous stuff!

I agree, I am surprised it fit in the fridge, it wouldnt have fit in mine, as my shelves are quite lower than that.... She definitely needs to pay more attention..and You might be right about the skulls and crossbones, or maybe put poison do not drink really big! I used to wonder why they would put do not eat, or do not drink on thins, but I guess, she has made me realize why...I always thought it was pretty self explanatory, but I guess not! =)

This is all so sad, isn't it? Have you watched the movie, 'The Darwin Awards'? It was a comedy, but, for me, it also had a very sobering message. It's so sad to know that many people just don't think. Purrs, Catwoman=^..^= & Mija

I haven't seen that, but it's depressing to know that there are people who are so careless, thoughtless or just plain stupid that they not only endanger themselves but others, too. If the Darwin Awards movie comes back on TV I'll try to catch it. I love a good comedy!

Complaints before or not if she couldnt read a lable on a bottle or even smell that it was wiper fluid then she really was NOT paying the proper attention those children deserved, id be fuming if that was my child I know accidents happen but that is not excusable id not be wanting my child to drink kool-aid anyways that alone would have me questioning them but to give them something harmful enough to kill them accident or no id be very angry thats peoples children she could have killed!

I'm willing to bet it scared her out of her wits. That is no excuse and 10 kids is too many for one person to watch. 4 is too many for one person to watch!

I think someone is very stupid here. The windshield fluid containers are very different from koolaid's containers. Wake up world!

Yes, when you are caring for children you need to pay attention to them and think about them all the time, not get distracted. It's dangerous!
