My Experience with Mylot. Totally Waste Of Your Time... Must Read...

I am arshad. I become a member of Mylot in April 2008 and i got my first payment in my first month because i worked hard and i posted a lot of topics etc. Mylot is a paying site but you get a few cents after a lot of work daily.
You have to post almost more then 100 lengthy and quality posts daily to get 1$.
so i left Mylot and today i just sign in to see what is happening on Mylot. After giving up Mylot i started my own websites. I started 4 websites and i put google adsense on them. I worked on them for only 1 to 2 hours daily on them and they are generating 2 to 4$ daily.
I started these websites in February 2009. So when they become popular then they will generate 10 or even more money daily.
So i suggest you that don't waste your time on Mylot. If you know something abour web designing then start a website of your interest and earn more and easy money.
This is my personal experience and thoughts. Your may be different.

Good for you!
Nice to know that a fellow Lotter is having success elsewhere doing something worthwhile. That's good.
It's also good to know that there are also many Lotters here who are perfectly happy to be here and are not only here for the earnings. We have friends here who we wish to be in contact with often.
My time is wasted if I spend it chasing money all day. Money is the root of all evil - my friends are not. I choose to be here just as you have chosen to do other things. I respect your choice and do not tell you that you are wasting your time.
Please respect the choice that others make

I agree with you completely! MyLot is a great way to get answers to your questions, to meet new people, and just enjoy yourself! The fact that you can make some money off of it is just an added bonus!
Good for you for knowing what you want out of life and being happy with your choices! I agree that friends are more important than money!

i thing u did not read my full post. i said this is my personal thought. ur may be different.
i know if i am a web designer then everybody is not. i said if u know about web designing then that is better then mylot. if u don't know then u can collect 1 cent daily here on mylot.
by the way everyone is for money here otherwise there are many other forums to join. and if people are not for money here then why they are crying in mylot section that their earnings have been decreased.

It seems that you were on mylot for the money onley. I am also on mylot for the money but there is more than money in it for me. There are friends. I also have other sites that I use for making money, but why not mylot and others sites.
I have even learned a lot from mylot friens about money making so why should I leave a site where i can get so much information about anything I want to know, and still get paid for it. This is like a help guide that pays you to help you. WOW, that is great.
I am for mylot and mylot is for me.

Partly what you said is true. Most people come and are attracted to this site cuz it earns you money. However, after a while, they start to realise that it's more fun if we don't think about the money. I came here hoping to earn money as it looks like a pretty boring site at first. But once I've joined, it's really fun. Seriously speaking, I don't mind if they stopped paying all of a sudden.. :)

Oh I've made $1 in a lot less than 100 posts, I don't think I've ever come even close to 100 posts in a day. But that's besides the point... you can't earn a living off mylot..... of course not... is myLot a waste of time, yes, and no. Depends on your expectations really. I come to myLot to waste time and focus on other things.... does it waste my time... yes... do I care.... no that's what I wanted to get out of it.

Well your right. This site may give you a little extra money here and there. The thing is though most of us aren't just here for the money. We are hear to chat. To have someone to talk to when you have no one else to talk to. To share exciting things that you just found out. To be able to share personal things with strangers you just met but in return they share personal stuff as well. To get opinions about things you are just not sure about. This site is more then a money maker. So if your here for the money then you will eventually leave because its not just about that and not much of that.

Well i don't feel that i have to do lengthy 100 posts daily to get 1$ i get half a cent on an average for not doing too many posts......i just do quality posts and with average length.....to be honest i joined mylot just for money.....i like the whole concept of gaining money.....but as and when i took part in the discussions i feel money has turned secondary.......i love getting feedback from people and i love sharing my views which are very well taken by fellow mylotters who are ready to get into a healthy debate.......and you know what i get paid for sharing my views and getting feedback from people all around the globe.......don't you think that's simply fantastic......but anyways i guess its everyone's personal opinion.......

Ah yes I agree. And one day's hard work of trying to put as much as one can still reaps benefit days after one has done it. I joined mylot for money too. And I am getting to a payout. But in just five days I am loving mylot, just the discussions and responses. Now I get a kick out of the number of responses one can get for a discussion. I am enjoying mylot.

I'm not just on mylot for the money I like the people and talking to everyone. it's better than going in some chat room and talking there I like the discussions and putting in my input here and there and maybe getting a reply from some friends that I've made on the site. I'm happy you found websites that generate money for you but don't go dissing mylot. did you ever think we are here for more than just money?

well, it is entirely your decision if you prefer to do something different to earn money... and if it is working for you, then it is very good... i am quite happy with what i am doing here at the moment and i am not complaining... and i don't think that it is a waste of time as well as i am making lots of friends here... it is not only about the money per se... the money is only the bonus part... take care and have a nice day...

To each his own surely and earning at mylot has never been my primary aim really, coz I am already working full time. The experience of interacting with people from the world over is far more enriching for me. Nevertheless, I respond to about 15 to 20 discussions per day that gives me between 25 to 30 cents and on days that I have started a discussion of two of my own (in addition to the 20 responses), I have crossed 50 cents actually.

hey if you can create your own website i say go for it. of course you are not going to be able to stop working by being here on mylot. but mylot is fun, there are great people here, and if you make friends then you will have more then enough post to reply to to make payout every month. we will all like to be rich, but come on... we know it's not going to happen here, and that's ok

If you are purely looking for money than i think you are right.If you are enjoying the discussion than i think you are wrong.Inspite of earning here,you are gaining lots of knowledge here.Daily you can communicate with lots of people sitting at your own place and know lots of information in order to develop your skills in earning.
I think it haven't be waste of time to do mylotting.Instead we have to thank the admin of the site to give us this kind of opportunity like learn while earning concepts.Its great and wonderful site friend.Think postive.

Hi arshad, You know there are different reasons for different people to be part of a discussion site, and most members on mylot are happy participating and earning whatever is due to them.One can be a member here and at the same time continue with other activities as well...Unless some one is really frustrated with the site, i doubt if any established member would want to leave mylot..

I'm sorry you feel that way, but some of us are here because we enjoy discussing things, this is not a site to make you rich really. But good thing you're getting a lot of traffic to your sites, some people are not that lucky.

this site never promised to pay you tons of money you should just be grateful that it paid you at all
I get so sick of seeing people whine and snivel because they didnt make the ridiculous amount of money they thought they would here
you know what? you dont like it then just delete your account and go do something else
this site isnt all about money
some of us really just enjoy sharing our thoughts and ideas with other people

yeh mylot pays very little compared to other avenue of making money. But I am not here purely for money. I make money here no doubt, and I would like more of it. But the real purpose of me here is that I can discuss issues that interest me and get to know issues from various perspectives. My lot is also about having fun, and enjoying yourself. This is just my opinion. Cheers!

Well if you are here for the money then might as well find other sites that pay higher rate. But for me, I enjoy my time in here and I don't feel I am wasting even though I am earning by the cents only in a day. I do have other sites I am earning with but this site has something more I look for everyday.
Good for your site if it does earn that much. As for me, it didn't work I do have a blog but its not earning and sometimes it does not earn at all. In here I am earning as well as meet and learn many things alongside. I think Mylot did that on purpose so that only those that want to share will share and not to encourage spammers/scammers since they can only get a few cents if they attempt to spam. It would totally be a waste of time for them scamming if they would earn only cents in here.

hELLO ARSHAD YOU ARE RIGHT THAT MYLOT IS PAYING VERY less amount but still who are not getting nay legit site mylot is the bets site for them atleast they will make some money from here,and I have joined this site to make money but I never get paid because I have not reached at minimum pay out, and I know this is due to my negilgance]and also I have not refered any one to join this site under me,I beleive if you do not want to post any more here you can refer active members who will post here so that you can make good referal income from this site

Maybe you are right.If one's major purpose is to earn money through the internet, mylot is not a good choice since it only pays you a few cents for posing a reponse or start a discussion. But as a university student who wants to practise my English as well as to earn some pocket money, mylot is a wonderful place,I should say.

Well, everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion. I respect arshad5555's opinion as well as everybody else's.
My opinion doesn't matter so I won't give it here. Besides, I am just a newbie here, finding my way around.
I just think arshad returned to mylot and expects that everybody would see his point and leave this site. I think it's not going to happen.
