Popular Movies You've Never Seen?

All my life I've heard about these great movies like The Breakfast Club, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Goonies... movies that people around my age grew up watching, and supposedly EVERYONE between the ages of 30 and 40 has seen them! Not me! I know the basics of the Breakfast Club, but I've never watched it. I'm only just now getting around to watching the Indiana Jones movies. Star Wars I have seen, but probably only once because I don't remember a bit of it, and Goonies.. not even sure what that one was about (I thought it was a scary type movie!). What are some popular movies of your time that you've never seen?

I haven't seen Borat either, or the James Bond movies. I did finally see Mamma Mia and I didn't think it was all that interesting.

For Mama mia you need to enjoy the musical type of movies, I hear many people broke down in song and there is a song at the end of the movie to sing even more. lol so that's pretty much it. James Bond movies, one needs to be a guy or really like the actor that is playing James Bond, otherwise the movies can melt into each other. My opinion anyways.

Let's see. . Well i've never seen that ultra famous movie, Titanic. I don't know but I guess i just didn't care at all about the movie. During the Mtv days, Celine Dion was singing the Titanic theme like every hour and for me it felt like what would i watch the film when i feel like i've already seen it because of too much promotion. I've never seen Spider-man 2. The one with Dr. Octopus as the nemesis. Too bad. I haven't seen the Oscar topnotcher, No Country For Old Men. I don't know but at first i thought it's a B-movie.

I've never seen No Country For Old Men either, but who cares. I haven't seen all the movies that ever won the Oscars. The Pianist won one year and I never saw it. This year Milk got a lot of great reviews and I never saw it. I am not all that sure why Slumdog Millionaire was all that great, although I did actually watch it just to see.

For me it would be "The Princess Bride" everyone I know who grew up at the same time as me watched it but to this day I haven't seen it and have no idea what it's even about. Also there is "Sixteen Candles" which everyone says I would love as it is my era and my type of thing, but still not got round to watching it.

I haven't seen the Godfather movies either, or pretty much any gangster movie. I think the only Al Pacino movie I've seen is Scent of a Woman, and that was when I was a kid.

I haven't seen any of the James Bond films, any of the Terminator, Indiana Jones, Robocop, Mission Impossible and Rocky.. LOL. In short, I am not fond of action films. hehehe. I also have not seen Angels and Demons and The Da Vinci Code, cause i'd rather read the book again than see the film. LOL... I guess I don't really watch films based on their popularity but based on the reviews, and of course my mood. =)

Of those action films you mentioned, Indiana Jones is the only one I've seen, and we're in the process of them now. I have seen DaVinci Code, but never read the book.

My frugal lifestyle has kept me from going to the movies. The hefty price of a ticket is $8.50. To me that is 2 gallons of milk and a loaf of bread! There are way to many movies I have missed. It would take days to list them all.

I never see movies in theaters! I borrow them from the library, but I also have an online account at Blockbuster.com. Unlimited movies each month, plus I trade in my mailings for free rentals at the store. That's our monthly entertainment budget. We watch 2 movies as a family per week, and hubby and I watch between 2 and 4 movies just for us... all from the comfort of our sofa. And we don't pay for cable!

Pretty much any scary movie. My mom wouldn't let us watch the Friday the 13th movies or Halloween or anything like that. Anything else I've seen. I've seen breakfast club more times that I can count. Another good one from that time is Pretty in Pink and 16 candles. And i love love love Overboard with Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. I can't think of anything other than scary movies that I have never seen. I'm sure there are some.

I didn't watch those movies as a kid either. When I was like 20 I rented all the Halloween's and watched them. I watched Nightmare on Elm Street, we actually used to own the box set.. but then we had kids, lol. Friday the 13th I have not seen, although I did see Freddy vs Jason. More recent scary movies, some of them I haven't seen. I saw Scream and those types, but things with gore or freaky stuff, can't watch it, Saw and The Hills Have Eyes, those are not my types of movies!! Never saw Pretty in Pink or 16 candles, but I did see Overboard.

The Goonies and The Breakfast Club are 2 awesome movies in my opinion. I have never watched all of the Indiana Jones movies or all of the Star Wars movies. I have just never found them all that interesting. The Goonies is maybe kind of scary for little kids, but not actually scary.

Rain Man...Fried Green Tomatoes...Driving Miss Daisy...Fatal Attraction...Mommy Dearest...and that's about all I can think of. You really should watch The Breakfast Club. It's great. It's one of those movies where you can watch it and think to yourself, "yeah I can remember stuff like that happening in high school" or "I remember a guy/girl like that." It's very entertaining and a good soundtrack too.

Goonies is one of my all time favorite movies. I've seen all the movies listed in this post. I quit watching TV a few years back and just decided to get netflix and rent movies on my computer as I was on my computer way more then in front of the TV. Now new TV series I couldn't tell you much about but I've seen a TON of movies.

A few years ago everyone was talking what a great movie "Titanic" was. I have had an opportunity to see it. Maybe one day I will take the time.

That's an amazing movie! It's one of those that MUST be seen on a big screen. I was lucky enough to see it in theaters.

I haven't seen dirty Dancing. I never wanted to. everybody said it was good but I didn't want to see it. i haven't seen E.T. either, I know the story and it is too sweet for me.I just saw Stsr Wars a couple of years ago. My nephew was amazed that I hade never seen it and was amazed he hadn't seen Casablanca. So we saw both films together and we both like the films.

The Goonies! What a fantastic movie. I loved it when it came out. Now I own it. As well as the others you mentioned. But the Goonies, one thing that is great about it all the kids in our family really like or love it too. From my daughter who will be 6 in a month to my 15 year old niece. Makes me not feel so old. I haven't seen any of the Oceans movies or the Benjamin Button one yet either.

The Oceans movies are awesome!! Benjamin Button was good too, but I most certainly recommend the Oceans!

I've hardly seen any movies that have been produced in the last 10 years. I feel so lost when people start discussing them! Combination of kids keeping me at home and not having a TV means I only watch the occasional movie on the computer.

I'm relatively sure I've never seen a Star Wars or an Indiana Jones movie all the way through. I'm also never seen newer hits like The Da Vinci Code, Braveheart, that Mel Gibson/Jesus one (forgot what it's called!). I've never seen any of the sappy ones like The Notebook or The Lake House. There's actually a ton of popular movies that I've never seen. My husband (LOL, still feels weird!) keeps bugging me that I've never seen Coneheads. But seriously you should watch The Breakfast Club - it is a classic. But I wonder if I would still like it if I watched it now for the first time instead of having seen it 100 times on TBS growing up!

I've never seen the Notebook or Lake House either, so don't feel bad. I did see Coneheads, you'd probably like it. I didn't see the Jesus movie you're talking about, and of course my mind is drawing a blank too but it's on the tip of my tongue! Arg, I hate that! Braveheart you have to see! DaVinci Code was real good too. The Passion of Christ (I had to look it up!)

Yes, that's it, The Passion of the Christ. I did see the South Park version - it was funny if you're into South Park.

I have never seen The Goonies or The Princess Bride! My friends and family are always quoting The Princess Bride and I've never seen it. They were also talking about the monster in the Goonies and I had no idea what they were talking about. I'm 20 so those movies are a little older than me, but still. Everyone I know has seen them!
