Guess I am a little sad today

My baby boy is 6 months old today. And the time just flew by. He is my second and last baby. I am trying to enjoy every second. It's just going by too quickly. Pictures help, but I know I will soon forget little things. How often do you wish time would slow down?

I know my sister just turned 8 on June 1st and I could swear she was just learning to walk not long ago toddling away..yes they do zip by so fast and we do forget that is why it is good that we can have photos and home movies to help up remember all the good stuff.. I am tugged sometimes between wanting her to grow up and wanting to keep her a my little sis whom I call my baby girl. I need to stop saying that since she is a big girl now. But I guess it is just hard for me to do so... I helped raise her and she is the closest I'll have. Since I am unable to have kids myself.

I wish time would slow down alot of times but there are also times when I wish it would really speed up also. Children do grow quickly but at least you still have the pictures. Maybe you could even get a camcorder and capture alot of the little things.

Start enjoying every single second.. cause.. not to make you any sadder... but the time goes by faster every year. My babies just celebrated their 31st and 27th birthdays....and I still don't want to belive they are out of diapers yet!!! That wasn't suppose to happen so fast!!! MY GD's just turned 3 and 9 . The 9 year old just finished 3rd grade and that is the first year of school I really still remember alot of things about ... and she is that age now and I constantly think... was I like that back then? Did I act like that? I remember learning that in school or doing this or that that she is doing. Pictures help, but keep a journal too. I hadn't thought of that back then, but have been keeping one for these 2 GD's just about what they did, we did, things they said or did... I re=read them often just to remember. You think you'll always remember things.. but you will be surprised at how much you do actually forget.

Our children are our precious treasure, of course. Time does seem to fly when you are having fun, or in this case raising a small bundle of joy. I think time keeps speeding up as we get older. Each day taking just a little bit less time to get through than the day before. This "speeding up" of time is partially why we are able to look at the future and plan for something years away... it helps us grow up. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be much of a comfort when you turn around and swear you kid grew overnight. :)

I wish it would slow down also. I have 5 girls and my little boy is 2 years old...soon to be 3..then 4..then school :( I love every moment with him and have made a scrapbook detailing those precious moments, pictures and special drawings he makes me. I love it when I realise he has progressed into another stage of his life, but feel sad that he is growing up :( but I have to admit he is so lovable that I am glad he is able to express himself to me now with his little kisses and hugs. Just enjoy every moment and spend as much time with him as you can, he will love you more for it and your bond will be stronger than your memories..:)

i have to agree with you! kids grow up way too fast and i keep telling my baby (who is now 12) not to grow up anymore. our oldest daughter is 16 already! where does the time go? :-(

I'm sad today, too. Time does fly by. Later today I will be attending my oldest child's high school graduation. Trying to hold it together today.

My kids are 12 and 8 and my oldest is almost as tall as her father. I keep telling her to stop growing. Yep, I really wish time would slow down a bit! In addition to pictures, if you have time, write things down, funny things the baby did and so on. That way you'll have something to come back to a read to bring back the memories!

Not often! I think maybe in a few years I'll wish time could reverse itself, but right now I'm happy with the speed it's going, and most days I'd be even happier if my older 3 were a few years older than they are. The little 2 are aging just fine though!
