Choose at least a 350/400 mah with 5v. You can then add an adapter (usb, for example) to charge your devices. Don't choose a too little panel...and keep in mind that you need 5 or 6v for charge a 3.6/3.7 battery.

45 mins? Lol. What kind of panel does it have? With a monocrystal 5v 430mah panel it takes hours and HOURS to charge a BR50 battery (3.7v 710mah)...

Recently due to global warming issue, most all of the electronic vendors try to make green product. Solar panel is very popular nowadays. We can easily find watch, calculator, emergency lamp, even mobile phone which using solar panel to recharging the power. I think it's a good choice. Especially in my country which has tropical season. But i don't think those products would success in place with less sun light in a day. Have a nice day and happy mylotting.

Is good to hear that Samsung is thinking ahead, as solar energy is a powerful and almost limitless source of power. We can benefit from it more than what we can get from fossil fuel, which was also formed through solar energy before the plants turned into fuel. Before this phone come out there are already many portable solar chargers around. The one I like is Solio, it can fully charge within 10 hours outside, or 48 hours indoors behind glasses. It has enough charge to fully charge typical phones and digital device like iPhone, iPod and many more. Samsung is taking a good lead on incorporate renewable energy into every day items. I won't be surprised to see mass-produced solar-powered laptop in the future, there are already many individuals who are doing that. Fossil fuel will run out sooner or later, is better to start using alternate energy source now before is too late.

That would be great if it will be available soon in my place. I haven't seen one yet but would be excited if all cellphone companies would follow suit. I guess it is just timely to use this technology as solar is a very promising source of energy.
