tonight's dancing. I worked yesterday. It was neat. They have silver foil strung across the gym with streamers hanging down about 10 feet high and every few feet, they have a blown up balloon of a fish or a seahorse. On one end of the gym, they have blue netting that looks like water. The other end has blue netting with a big sunken ship at floor level, it's dark blue with silver outlining the details. When I went to school, we had our Junior Prom and Senior Banquet at the Elk's club. We didn't get to decorate or do anything for it. I think we missed something because the kids were all psyched for it and the ones that didn't decorate were curious about it. STill more decorating to do because they have to wait for the cafeteria tables and finish today, but I wasn't called to work today, so I don't know what that decorating will be like. Bet more sea stuff. Probably only a refreshment table though for a prom. It looks like fun decorating and having it at your school. Did you have a prom? Was it at school or somewhere else? Did you get to decorate for one or was that not an option for you?

The school decorations for your prom sound neat. Bet the kids are all geared up for tonight. There were proms when I was in school. I wasn't asked and didn't have the nerve to ask a boy so I didn't go to any of them. I was a little tomboy and din't think anyone noticed me. Found out 40 years later that wasn't the case and it was quite interesting to hear the stories from some of the guys I graduated high school with this many years later. I had to laugh at the fact several remember me in my gym clothing. Well anyway, I failed miserably when it came to social events at school.

I went Stag, no guy asked me and they said that anyone could go as a single. So I went. That was the first year singles could go. Lots of us weren't dating and to just stay home because we weren't dating would be a waste. So they allowed that. Yeah, I found out I was liked by some people that I didn't know liked me. It was hard to tell with all the people who were obvious that didn't like me.

I had fun, I danced with a guy that went by himself. We didn't know each other and we didn't bother with each other afterward, but it was nice at the time.

When I went to school girls didn't go stag. Or if they did, I knew nothing about it. I am sorry those days are gone and I didn't take advantage of some fun times at school.

Hi, Edge! I guess things are a bit over done here in Miami. Our junior prom when I was in high school was at a beautiful bayfront convention center. The decorations made us think we really had walked right into the Arabian Nights! As a senior, we were at the Fontainebleu Hotel, still a top Miami Beach landmark, and it was done up as a very posh speakeasy. At both, there were exceptionally well-catered dinners and all sorts of munchies set up throughout the place after dinner was over. They took out the tables and chairs to make more room for dancing, and there were well-known bands playing all evening. Miamians are spoiled when it comes to entertainment.

Wow, ours was catered, but not at a convention center. Wow! A hotel, I could see kids getting into some serious trouble with that. Yes, I'm sure that due to size of city, you must get some big names who entertain there. Thanks.

Oh that sounds really pretty. Well I had a prom in high school but I didn't go. My I think I was like the only that didn't go, but my friends were pretty mad that I didn't go. From what I heard it was pretty cool. I don't remember exactly where the prom took place. Have a great day! ^_^

It's too bad you couldn't go, but your friends being mad at you must have made it worse. But they must have told you stories about it. Thanks for responding and take care.
