It is Mango season and we have so many of them at home. So I have decided to try and re energize my sluggish digestive system and I am going to have fruit for breakfast with one slice of bread and lots of fruit for lunch. Mangoes and ripe banans. Maybe this will give me more energy, help me to lose weight and wake up my body as I am feeling so tired all of the time from morning until evening. What will you eat for lunch today?

I hope it works for you.... but the lack of protein may leave you feeling energyless! I am having a soup I made for lunch. I put some veggies in it and lots of spices; like, oregano, basil and such! It smells good but it's got quite awhile before it's done. I may have to opt for having it a little later and yogurt or something for lunch!

We all definitely need protein. You can choose lean proteins, like chicken or a real lean steak. Beans have a lot of protein too. I eat a lot of dairy products and not too much meat, but I am thinking of adding a little more meat in. You can get low fat cheeses and all... eggs have fewer calories and good protein too!

I had a chicken patty, the kids are having bologna sandwiches. I'm tired too, but I think for me it's from depression... I just want to crawl under a rock for awhile.

I think we missed lunch today, it is almost supper time here. But you mentioned about making jam in my discussion, I would love to have plenty of mangos to eat, they don't grow here and I love them..

Skipping meals doesn't bother me at all. But to a fast with either just fruits and veggies and whole grains, or water is somewhat difficult. But what is really hard is the Yom Kippur fast, you don;'t eat or drink anything for 24 hours, thankfully it only comes one day a year..

A fruit meal is a treat for me at any time of day. I have fruits for breakfast most mornings when I am at work. There are times when my system just does not want to take in anything else but fruits and I have no problem obliging. I love fruits. Well lunch is so long past and I cant even share with you what tomorrow will bring as I eat what I feel for at the time.

Yeah they tend to do that. I have become used to eating them as a meal though so they last me for quite some time before I am ready to eat again.

HI, I had a piece of apple pie w/cheddar cheese melted on it. My neighbor has an apple tree & shared w/me. I made 2 pies yesterday & shared w/my neighbors & am going to take some to my friend in the nursing home this afternoon when i go to see her. I did use sweetner instead of sugar.

I love apple pie with cheese but have never had it with melted chees. Just ordinary cheddar. It sounds like heaven. I have to lose weight and really am going to try. I have to cut down on fat but it is the fat that makes thigs taste so good!I am not a cookie, ice cream person and only rarely have cake - it is fried food that is my problem.

Hey Cynthiann, what kind of mangoes do you have over there. I am having rice and peas today with chicken for lunch. I have been storing some Julie, starch and some other kind of grafted mango in my bedroom because I don't trust those folks at home to leave them alone LOL. Will have a few from the stash when I get home. See this is why I love the Caribbean. Have a great day!

YOu have been hiding mangoes from yourt mothe? Out here they children would say, 'Yes now, Spanish Town, Mama going to beat you upside down.' I adore Julie, East Indian and Bombay. I also love a huge mango that we call 'Beefy'. There are so mnay different varieties and they all taste so different. I could never get tirred of mangoes.

i don't think i could manage on just fruit but i've noticed that eating a bit of fruit as a dessert fills you up so you don't need to snack later on. i possibly have the opposite problem from you though, i have to be careful not to lose too much weight because i've had some serious illnesses where i became underweight and if i got food poisoning or something now i'd be in danger because i'm pretty slim in spite of eating properly.

Eating fruits in their season will certainly give sufficiant energy both his/her body as well as to their immunisation system/ they may prevent the diseases. so cynthiann idea of having fruits will be very good, it will not only give strength but also help digestive system will be set-right. very good idea.

Dear Mylotters! Taking fruits is one of the most healthy and natural food. Different types of fruits are available to eat.Adding fruit is your diet is an assured way to become improved. It means not taking fruit after your meals! fruits should be eaten in an empty stomach or before your meals. Daily intake fruit can profit your body in many ways.Fruit require less energy to be digested than any other food.

Oh you are so lucky! I love mangoes! So delicious. But so expensive here. I ate fruit for lunch yesterday. 2 bananas. And then I went running in the evening before dinner. The bananas actually gave me plenty of energy, I was surprised. I need to start eating healthier along with my running.

I don't know if you have noticed but bewtween sets at Wimbledon, many tennis players ate a banana. They are a wonderful beneficial fruit. As well as being filling they are full of potassium and vitamin C and also they act as an anti depressant. My husband was a Banana farmer so I do know a lot about this fruit. So keep eating bananas

I like fruits no doubt, different kinds of fruits, mangos, oranges, pineapple, pears, apple. But, for lunch, I need to have more. I am going to a restaurant which serves very delicious buffet today. I shall enjoy many choices of delicious cuisines, and a nice dessert too.

Today for lunch I had soup, salad, and rolls at O'Charley's with my brother and his family. It was a good lunch. Your mango and banana lunch sounds good too though. I love fresh mangoes. I like dried mangoes too.

What we always eat, lol, Cinnamon Rolls Yogurt. Very yummy and 100 calories too! We're on the slim fast diet with eating yogurt for lunch and whatever we want for dinner, and then a snack before bed. The breakfast is Slim Fast Optima, a drink! yum! Well Good Luck, Fruit is a very refreshing treat, and also very healthy.

Cinnamoin rols are 100 calories? I thought that they would be much more than that. Slim fast is very expensive out here - I have to use what is available - lke eating mangoes because I have a tree laden with them in my garden. I also need snack before going to bed. I cannot sleep if I am hungry.

Today I ate a mini-pizza for lunch. The last few days, I have eaten mostly fruits and vegetables all day long. I am trying to lose more weight too, but the main reason I have eaten so much fruits and veggies is because it has been so hot, I haven't cared to cook much. My hubby is out of town working and it is just me and the kids so there is no need for a big meal. The kids and I are happy to eat salads and such, where as my hubby prefers a hot meal in the evening. I have been tired in the morning, but once I get up and around, I am full of energy. I think that taking a multi-vitamin before I go to bed really does help me out. If I do start to feel tired, I add a B-complex vitamin to my morning and it seems to do the trick.

I am probably messing up myself as I have not taken vitamins for several months - the costs have sky rocketed. This could be one of the resons why I am tired. What is it with men and a hot meal at night? My husband always insited on a hot meal for dionner and we live in the tropics! Or rather only me know as I am a widow. I will take your advice and get a B complex vitamin at lunchtime. Many thanks
