I am so frustrated after typing a discussion and this red alert from mylot comes out unable to post content. please modify your text to only include letters, numbers, and standard punctuation. and all the typed words vanished into the thin air. Time are wasted and I have to rewind my memory to get back to my discussion. I have no script to follow as I type spontaneously while my mind is thinking of the wordings. Have you ever encountered this problem before. What do you think may be the reasons so I can avoid repetitive mistakes in future?

HI Zandi!
I've also been facing the same problem, since morning and I find that many of responses are not get posted and the window pops again with the red alert. I think there should be something technically wrong. Because we always try to post as per guidelines and we draft our responses suitably. However, what I can suggest you is that when you post a response, 'copy' the same by pressing 'Control' + 'C' button on your key board and if you the see the red alert, re-load the page and past the same by pressing 'Control' + 'V' key on your key board. All the best.

This is different problem altogether. I do get instruction from mylot if my words doesn't favor them. That one is no problem as we just change the word and can be posted but the problem now is all the words just disappear and need to redo the whole discussion. Very time consuming.

It happened to me too. I was able to remember the discussion pretty well so I tried agian, copying and saving the response in Word first. It continued to happen and when I tried to PM a member my note also disappeared. I tried a few more responses, saving them first, with the same result and so I gave up. Things were ok again next morning. I can only assume that admin were working on the servers for a while...at least this discussion of yours was able to go through.

I have been having the same thing happen to me. I don't know why. My response will not have anything wrong in it that i know of. seems to be alot of little glitches lately. I thought they may be upgrading or working on it someway. If that's the case hope they get through soon. It is aggravating for that to happen.

I too faced this problem Zandi.Strangely what happened was , once it got posted despite this stupid warning. The second time it happened the discussion disappeared. But Once it was a response. Another time it was a discussion topic. Quite frustrating it was. But, it is better typed on Word document Zandi any day[these disussion topics started by us].

I have had this happen to me before. I try to copy everything I write here alot of times before trying to post or submit it. If you lose it, then all you have to do is paste it here again instead of typing it all again.

It happened to me before when I was using my desktop, I am using my cellphone when I'm doing my Mylot since I got my blackberry phone.
Right now I'm still experiencing this kind of thing when I hit response the discussion is not posted and another box under the discussion box will open. When you hit response again it will not be posted and the same thing happens.
I don't know if this is some kind of a glitch because of the upgrade they made or what. I'm glad that its not affecting me much since my blackberry can remember everything I type and it will not disappear.

hi zandi this happened to me yesterday. first I waited and waited for my response to load, the line moved slowly. so I thought as its not loaded yet I will add an emoticon to the response and when I tried to do that I got that red alert unable to post content etc
and all the response went bye bye out to the ionosphere I guess.grrr that was so frustrating as I felt I had made a great response. I am wondering if my opening mylot code made that happen? I really dont know. but I also had this happen when I hadnt touched anything but just waited and waited for it to load then I got the red Alert, there wasnt anything wrong in my discussion so I still dont know why it happened. Could this be a mylot glitch rather than an error on our part?

Hi zandi,
It happen to me quite a few times already. It is most annoying thing. It is actually not our mistake. It is rather the system failure.
What we can do is to copy every response or comment before we press the "post" button. You can paste your response if the first one didn't succeeded.

How would I know that it is going to disappear as it has never happened to me before. But looks like it is happening to many people here and the best thing is to copy it before pressing the send button. Accidental happenings like this is hard to predict when it will happen.

i think that happened to me too Yesterday and the day before that. and made a discussion too on how mad i was about it because they were still updating or upgrading their site.i don't the idea either or recalling memory but here's a technique, open a notepad, type the discussion there first, then copy-paste it to mylot. if it disappears, then do it again, i think it's ok since you already reach more than 500 post

it has happened with me just once. it was then i realized that some legitimate words can also have a foul meaning. perhaps you cannot blame mylot because i have come across some postings that use symbols or wrong spellings to make a nasty comment. i find it best to use as simple language as possible. never had a problem except the one mentioned above.

I had this happen to me just the other day, I was commenting to a discussion that I had made, I made a long response but I had no profanity and typed it quick, so I didn't think I needed to copy it so I could paste it in again, but I was so wrong because I hit the "post response" button and got to the same screen as you, its frustrating and I hope that mylot is aware of this because its unfair and I have no idea what causes it :(

Hello my friend zandi458 Ji,
I too had many times such dis-appointments. First thing , while logging-in, please make sure that "user-ID/password/public-computer" are filled properly. Next, I would now express, what I think, if I have opened number of windows at a time, everytime, I use any other site, other than myLot, it will automatically log you out and once after completing your discussion/response/comments, trying to post at this stage, it will vanish and above screen will appear. To take precautionary measures, I will copy and paste in note-pad , so that, in case such thing happens, it does not bother me much. I can again paste it.
May God bless You and have a great time.
